There are 6 English Premier League matches taking place on New Year’s Eve and we suggest a bet in each game.
Let’s start with a look at the Outright Betting where Manchester City are currently trading as 4/10 favourites to defend their title.

Wolves v Manchester United – Click here to bet
Wolves are currently sitting 18th on the log and got a much needed 3 points last time out when they beat Everton 2-1 on the road.
Manchester United are 5th and they returned to action with a comfortable 3-0 victory over Nottingham on Tuesday night.
Manchester United look to me as the team that may well have turned the corner and I am looking for an away victory here, something which has been achieved in the last two visits to Wolves in the League.
Suggested bet: Manchester United win at 10/11
Bournemouth v Crystal Palace – Click here to bet
Bournemouth are currently 14th on the log with 1 win and 4 defeats in their last 5 games. They were beaten 2-0 away by Chelsea last time out.
They face Crystal Palace who are 11th on the log with 3 losses and 2 victories in their last 5 matches. Palace also suffered a loss on their return to action on Boxing Day going down 3-0 at home to Fulham.
The bookies have Crystal Palace favourite for this game at 31/20 with the draw at 23/10, but personally I think home team, Bournemouth are the value here especially given how disappointing Palace’s performance was against Fulham last time out.
Suggested Bet: Bournemouth win at 19/10
Fulham v Southampton – Click here to bet
Fulham are up to 9th on the table after their 3-0 away win over Crystal Palace. It was their first win in three matches though and they are now at home where they have only won 1 of their last 4.
Southampton are bottom of the table after only 3 wins in 16 starts and they haven’t won in their last 5, losing their last 4 games in succession, most recently going down 3-1 at home to Brighton.
I was lining up an over 2.5 goals play here, but the 8/11 is just a bit short for me and in fact I am drawn towards a win for Fulham who impressed last time out and are playing against a Southampton side that is clearly in a lot of trouble.
Suggested Bet: Fulham win at 1/1

Manchester City v Everton – Click here to bet
Manchester City took a while to break down Leeds, but they did so comfortably enough in the end winning 3-1 in midweek. That leaves them 2nd on the table, 5 points behind Arsenal heading into this round of fixtures.
Everton are currently 17th on the table and very much flirting with the relegation zone after taking only 1 point from the last 12 they have played for. Their 2-1 defeat at home to Wolves last time out was their 3rd successive loss.
Manchester City have an incredible scoring record at home and have scored 30 goals in 8 matches while conceding just 9. I can’t see this Everton defence holding them out and I am backing them to score 4 goals or more.
Suggested Bet: Manchester City Total Goals over 3.5 at 29/20
Newcastle v Leeds – Click here to bet
Newcastle are on fire currently sitting 3rd on the log, 7 points behind Arsenal although having played a game more. They have now won their last 6 matches in succession and comfortably beat Leicester 3-0 on the road last time out.
They face a Leeds side that sits in 15th with 2 wins and 3 losses in their last 5. Goals have flowed in Leeds matches and over 3.5 goals would have arrived in 4 of their last 5 games, with over 2.5 goal backers collecting in all 5 of those matches. That has me leaning towards another high scoring clash here with the 6/10 over 2.5 goals a bit short for my pocket, I am going to bet that we get 4 goals or more at a current price of 15/10.
Suggested Bet: Over 3.5 goals in Total at 15/10
Brighton v Arsenal – Click here to bet
Brighton are currently 7th on the log and got a much needed victory, 3-1 away at Southampton last time out, their 3rd win in 4 games.
They face an Arsenal side that is top of the table and leading by 5 points going into this round of fixtures. Arsenal were too strong for West Ham winning 3-1 at home last time out and they have only dropped 4 points from a possible 24 on the road this season.
It won’t be an easy match for arsenal, but the way they are playing at the moment I have got to back them to get the 3 points.
Suggested Bet: Arsenal win at 23/20
