There are 2 DSTV Premiership matches taking place on Thursday and we suggest a bet in each of them.
The race for second place is now effectively between 3 teams and you can get betting on this market. Orlando Pirates are hot favourites now at 9/20 with SuperSport United at 15/10 and Kaizer Chiefs in with nothing much more than a mathematical chance at 50/1.

Chippa United v Kaizer Chiefs – Click here to bet
Chippa United are 15th on the log and currently in the relegation playoffs spot. They haven’t won in their last 7 matches and are coming off back-to-back defeats away at Marumo Gallants and at home to Orlando Pirates. Chippa have only won 3 of their 13 home matches this season and they have only scored 11 goals in those 13 games.
Kaizer Chiefs are 4th on the log, but have stumbled in their recent matches, losing 1-0 away to Sekhukhune and drawing 1-1 at home to Marumo Gallants. They have one of the better away records in the Division, winning 6 and drawing 2 of their 13 games this season.
Chippa United beat Chiefs 2-1 on the road in the reverse fixture and last season Chiefs did the double.
Chiefs are even money to win this game, but I am going to use the recent head-to-head stats as a guide here and go over 2.5 goals a bet which would have arrived in the last 3 meetings between the sides.
Suggested Bet: Over 2.5 goals at 5/4

Swallows v Maritzburg United – Click here to bet
Swallows are currently 14th on the log and are coming off a 3-0 away defeat to Stellenbosch. Their last home game was a goalless draw against Mamelodi Sundowns and at home this season they have won 5 of their 13 matches, but only 1 of their last 5 home games.
Maritzburg United are bottom of the table and in desperate need of a point. They drew 1-1 at home to Richards Bay last time out and their last away game was a 1-0 defeat to Sekhukhune. Overall on the road this season they have won 3 of 13 matches and only 1 of their last 5.
Both teams will be desperate to win this game, but equally as desperate not to lose and I think it is going to be tight.
The last 4 head-to-heads between the sides have finished as draws and I am going for 5 in a row.
Suggested Bet: The draw at 9/4
