We take a look at 3 of the DSTV Premiership matches taking place on Saturday from a betting angle.
The big clash between Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates will be covered in its own preview
Golden Arrows v Maritzburg United – Click here to bet
Golden Arrows are currently 12th on the log and coming off a 3-1 away defeat to Orlando Pirates. Their last home game was a 2-1 win over SuperSport.
Maritzburg United are 15th on the log, but there are signs of hope for their fans as they have won their last 2 games, 3-1 at home to Royal AM and 1-0 away to Marumo Gallants. Maritzburg are undefeated in their last 3 away games.
Golden Arrows have an excellent record at home against Maritzburg United winning their last 4 matches and they also beat Maritzburg 2-0 on the road earlier this season. I am going for a home win here.
Suggested Bet: Golden Arrows win at 27/20
Royal AM v Chippa United – Click here to bet
Royal Am are 10th on the log with just 1 win in their last 5 games. Last time out they lost to Maritzburg United 3-1 on the road and their last home game was a 2-0 victory over AmaZulu.
Chippa United are 9th on the table level with Royal AM on points, but ahead on goal difference. They have not won in their last 6 matches and most recently drew 1-1 at home to Cape Town City and they have only taken 1 point from the last 12 they have played for on the road.
These are the two sides which have played the highest scoring games in the Division with Royal AM matches averaging 2.6 and Chippa United 2.5 and given this and the fact that the last two meetings between the sides have delivered 4 goals in each, I am going to have a nibble at the over 2.5 goals, a rare bet for me in the PSL.
Suggested Bet: Over 2.5 goals at 5/4
Place a multiple of 5 or more Premier League games and if your bet wins, and at least 2 of your selections win by 2 goals or more, we will double your winnings in Free Bet Vouchers.
AmaZulu v Marumo Gallants – Click here to bet
AmaZulu are currently 6th on the log and coming off a 4-0 hammering of Kaizer Chiefs at home and they have only lost 1 of their last 7 matches in the PSL.
Marumo Gallants are currently sitting bottom of the table with just 2 wins in 17 games and they have only take 1 point from the last 5 matches they have played. Last time out they lost 2-0 at home to Richards Bay.
5 of the 16 AmaZulu matches have reached the 3 goal mark this season while only 3 of the 17 Marumo Gallants games would have delivered you a profit had you backed over 2.5 goals.
Matches between these sides have been low scoring, but I am steering clear of the goal market and I am going to back an inform AmaZulu to get the win.
Suggested Bet: AmaZulu win at 11/10
