There are two DSTV Premiership matches taking place in midweek and we take a look at both of them from a betting angle.
A reminder that World Sports Betting have priced up on a “Without Mamelodi Sundowns” outright market and this is of course due to the fact that Sundowns have run away in their defence of the Title.
The race for 2nd is very much on though and Orlando Pirate are 16/10 favourites ahead of SuperSport United and Kaizer Chiefs both priced at 18/10, you can get 33/1 Cape Town City and 150/1 and better the balance.

TUESDAY
Mamelodi Sundowns v Cape Town City– Click here to bet
Sundowns are top of the table and assured of the Title despite the fact that they have 7 games left to play. They have only lost two matches all season and their last 10 games have taken 28 points out of a possible 30. Last time out they beat Royal AM 5-1 at home and they have won 11 out of 12 matches that they have hosted this season.
Cape Town City are 5th on the log, 7 points behind the 3 teams above them, but with a game in hand. They are undefeated in their last 4 matches, drawing their last game 2-2 at home to Marumo Gallants and prior to that they had won 3 in a row. Cape Town City have battled on the road this season winning just 3 times in 11 attempts although they have won their last 2 away games against Maritzburg and Sekhukhune.
It is a brave or perhaps foolish man that bets against Mamelodi Sundowns, but I am going to go for a Cape Town City upset here as they have a reasonable record at Sundowns and I am hoping that the Champions will take their foot off the gas now that the job is done.
Suggested Bet: Cape Town City win at 13/2

WEDNESDAY
Marumo Gallants v Royal AM – Click here to bet
Marumo Gallants are currently sitting bottom of the table and in desperate need of victories as the end of the season approaches. They drew 2-2 away at Cape Town City last time out and are undefeated in their last 3 games which have included a home draw to TS Galaxy and a home win over Sekhukhune. Overall at home though they have won just twice in 11 attempts.
Royal AM are 11th on the table and saw a 4 match unbeaten run ended when they went down 5-1 at Mamelodi Sundowns last time out. They have one of the worst away records in the Premiership taking 10 points out of a possible 33 this season and they have only won 1 of their last 5 away games.
Only 1 of the 11 Marumo Gallants home games has reached the 3 goal mark, but by contrast 8 of the 11 Royal AM matches would have delivered you a profit had you backed over 2.5 goals.
Royal AM and Marumo Gallants drew 2-2 in the reverse fixture and that was also the score in this fixture last season.
Marumo Gallants have no choice now, but to throw everything in to attack as draw simply won’t work for them now and it is going to result in plenty of goal scoring opportunities.
Suggested Bet: Over 2.5 goals at (Price not available at the time of writing and will be added on Wednesday morning)
