There is only one English Premier League match taking place on Wednesday night, but it is a big one and features the top of the table clash between Arsenal and Manchester City. We take a look at the game from a betting angle.
Manchester City have taken back the favouritism from Arsenal in the outright betting market and they are currently trading as 1/1 favourites to win the Title with Arsenal on offer at 23/20. You can get 14/1 Manchester United and 125/1 and better the balance.

ARSENAL
Arsenal are currently sitting top of the table, 3 points ahead of Manchester City and with a game in hand. They drew 1-1 at home to Brentford last time out with Brentford scoring a controversial equaliser which cost the Gunners 2 valuable points. That was their second game in a row without a victory as they had lost 1-0 away to Everton the week before and there are just signs that the Gunners are beginning to wobble.
Looking at their home record this season they have won 8 and drawn 2 of their 10 matches and digging deeper into their goal stats, Arsenal home games have averaged 3.7 goals each with 80% of the matches delivering profits had you backed over 2.5 goals. Two of the last three games though have failed to reach the 3 goal mark though.
MANCHESTER CITY
Manchester City are right back in Title contention and they have won 3 out of their last 4 matches. They beat Aston Villa 3-1 at home last time out and their last away game was a 1-0 loss to Tottenham. Their form on the road this season has been a bit patchy by their standards and they have only won 5 of their 10 matches, drawing 2 and losing 3. They have lost their last 2 away games.
Looking at the goal stats of Manchester City on the road only 4 of the 10 matches have delivered profits for over 2.5 goal backers this season.
HEAD-TO-HEAD
These sides met in the FA Cup at the end of January with Manchester City winning 1-0, but looking at their recent League encounters it doesn’t look good for Arsenal as they have lost their last 10 matches in a row against City and last season lost this fixture 2-1 at home.

Arsenal 19/10
Draw 5/2
Manchester City 29/20
Arsenal have been playing very well, but there are just signs that they are starting to feel the pressure and I can’t ignore Manchester City’s excellent record against them. I am going for a City win here.
Suggested Bet: Manchester City win at 29/20
I think we will get goals in this one, but I don’t want to get too heavily involved in the other markets and take a speculative play that Manchester City win by two goals to one.
Suggested Bet: Correct score 1-2 at 8/1
