This week will see a rare golf event that allows players to represent their countries on the course and have a chance to claim an Olympic medal. We take a look at the Olympics 2024 Golf from a betting angle.
Course
The golfers will head to Le Golf National for this weekends event. Despite being a relatively new course, Le Golf National has proven to be one of the best courses in Europe and hosted the 2018 Ryder Cup. The par 71 course plays 7,174 yards with a number of the finishing holes being surrounded by water. The greens are average size but run quickly and will demand good game management come Sunday.
Past Winners
2016 Justin Rose (Great Britain)
2020 Xander Schauffele (United States)

SELECTIONS:
Xander Schauffele at 6.50
Having had the season of a lifetime, winning back-to-back majors, Schauffele couldn’t be more confident going into this week, looking to win his second gold medal. He has finished in the top ten on five of his last seven starts and in the top fifteen on the other two. He won the gold medal at the Tokyo Olympics in 2020 and will be looking to go on and do it again.
Xander Schauffele each way at 6.50.
Jon Rahm at 11.00
Rahm is coming off the back of his first LIV Golf win last weekend in England. He will be feeling confident and ready to make his country proud. Rahm finished seventh at The Open showing that he still has what it takes to compete with the best even though he is no longer on the PGA Tour. He won his last start on the LIV Tour so his game is in good nick. Rahm will be hoping to make Spain proud and produce a medal for his country.
Jon Rahm each way at 11.00
MinWoo Lee at 46.00
Lee will be looking to secure yet another medal for Australia as he takes on the best of the best from the other countries. He had a disappointing Open, missing the cut after shooting an 80 on Friday. However, he has managed to finish in the top twenty-five in three of his last five starts and this could be his opportunity.
MinWoo Lee top 10 finish at 3.80
