The Men’s 200m final is one of the highlights on tonight’s Athletics programme at the 2024 Olympics and we take a look at the day’s action and some of the betting opportunities.

ATHLETICS
The morning’s Athletic action sees the Women’s Heptathlon get going and the Women’s Shot Put qualification. There is also Round 1 of the Men’s 4 x 100m Relay, but the real action takes place later in the day when we have the Women’s 1500m semi-finals and no fewer than 5 Gold Medal events.
Malaika Mihambo is the 6/10 favourite to win the Women’s Long Jump with Tara Davis, her likely rival, priced at 2/1.
Sydney Mclaughlin is the firm favourite at 1/4 to win the Women’s 400m Hurdles and the only other runner given a chance by the bookmakers is Femke Bol who is priced at 26/10. I think this race could be closer than the betting suggests.
The Men’s Javelin looks fairly competitive and Neeraj Chopra is the 9/10 favourite, Vadlejch and Peters are 9/2 and 11/2 respectively.
Grant Holloway is a short-priced 1/25 to win the Men’s 110m Hurdles so in that race you may want to focus on Medal Betting where Orlando Bennett is 15/10 for a Top 3 finish.
My personal highlight will be the 200m for Men where 100m Champion, Noah Lyles is trading short at 2/9 with Letsile Tebogo ( 12/1 before the semi-final), now priced at 9/2 after an excellent run.

The Men’s Basketball semi-finals takes place on Thursday and Germany are 5/10 favourites to beat France who are priced at 21/10 with the draw at 16/1. In the second semi, the USA are massive favourites at 1/12 against Serbia and if you fancy a big win for the USA you can get 19/20, -16.5 hoops.

Celine Boutier is the 19/10 favourite to deliver a home victory after Round 1 and the South African eyes are firmly focused on Ashleigh Buhai who is 14/1 for victory.

HOCKEY
The Men’s final takes place on Thursday and the Netherlands are 4/6 favourites to win Gold with Germany 11/10 to cause a minor upset.
THURSDAY’S PLAY OF THE DAY
I have been impressed with Vadlejch in the Javelin and he is tempting at 9/2 for the win although Chopra will be hard to beat. I am going to take him at 15/20 to medal and I am going to use that to bolster odds on Tebogo who really impressed in the 200m semi-finals.
Yes Lyles has more to come but hopefully so does Tebogo.
Double: Vadlejch Medal, Tebogo win at 17/2 – you can use this code to populate your bet slip 13375976
