The eagerly awaited Six Nations gets going in Cardiff this weekend and we take a look at all 3 games from a betting angle.
Let’s start with a look at the Outright Winner Market where Ireland are trading as 5/4 ahead of France at 15/8. You can get 4/1 England, 11/1 Wales, 20/1 Scotland and 500/1 Italy. There are also other markets on offer such as Triple Crown Winner where Ireland are trading as 11/8 favourites and Grand Slam Winner where No Gram Slam is on offer at 9/10.

WALES v IRELAND – Click here to bet
Wales finished second from bottom of the log in last year’s Six Nations and will be looking for big improvement this season. Their most recent action was at home to Australia in November where they allowed the Australians to come back from a big deficit to beat them 39-34.
The Irish were second to France in last year’s Six Nations and given that they play France at home this season, they are priced as favourites to win the Title. The Irish were full value for victories over the Boks and Australia in the year-end Internationals last season.
In 2022 Ireland beat Wales 29-7 in Dublin and the year before Wales had beaten Ireland 21-16 in Cardiff.
Suggested Bet: Point Range, 35-41 points inclusive at 16/5
Something different for me as I am struggling to find any value on the handicap. For this bet to arrive there must be no less than 35 points and no more than 41 points in the match.

ENGLAND v SCOTLAND – Click here to bet
England were 3rd in last year’s Six Nations and their last action at the end of November was under then coach, Eddie Jones when they went down 27-13 to the Boks having come back from nowhere to draw 25-25 to the All Blacks earlier in November.
Scotland were 4th in last season’s Six Nations and they will need to improve their form on the road if they are going to compete this season. They did beat England 20-17 in Edinburgh to take the Calcutta Cup and that was their 2nd successive victory over England having beaten them 11-6 in 2021.
These sides have played in some low scoring fixtures of late, but I am expecting a more free flowing game this time around and will bet that we will get 47 points or more.
Suggested Bet: Over 46.5 points at 19/20
ITALY v FRANCE – Click here to bet
Italy finished bottom of the table last season, but they did cause a massive upset when they beat Wales 22-21 away from home. They had a mixed bag of results in the year-end Internationals, getting well beaten by South Africa, but beating an admittedly under-strength Australian side 28-27 at home.
France are the defending Six Nations Champions and they won all 5 of their matches last season to take the Grand Slam. They got results against Australia and the Springboks in the year-end Internationals, but they certainly didn’t look as strong as they had in the Six Nations earlier in the season.
Last season France won this fixture 37-10 in Paris and the year before that 50-10 in Rome.
Suggested Bet: Handicap, Italy +20.5 at 10/11
This Italian side appear to have stepped up a gear and although I can’t look past a France victory I think the Italians can give them plenty to think about.
