There are two DSTV Premiership matches taking place on Sunday and we take a look at each of them from a betting angle.
Royal AM v AmaZulu – Click here to bet
Royal AM are currently 9th on the log and since returning to action have lost 2-1 on the road to Cape Town City and drawn 0-0 with TS Galaxy at home. They have won 3, drawn 2 and lost 3 of 8 home matches this season and looking at their goal stats 8 of the 14 matches have delivered profits for over 2.5 goal backers, the highest percentage in the League.
AmaZulu are currently 7th on the log and are undefeated in their last 5, but 4 of those games have been draws including their return from the World Cup break which saw them play to a goalless draw at Sekhukhune. AmaZulu have won 1 and drawn 5 of their 7 away matches this season and their last 7 matches would have seen under 2.5 goal backers collect profits.
Both fixtures between these sides finished goalless last season. I looked hard at this game to try to find an angle in the goal markets, but couldn’t find anything and in the end I am going to settle for the draw at 2/1, a result which arrived in both meetings last season and has landed in 5 of the 7 AmaZulu away games this season.
Suggested Bet: The draw at 2/1

TS Galaxy v Stellenbosch – Click here to bet
TS Galaxy are currently 8th on the log and are undefeated in their last 5 games. Only 1 of those has been a victory though and that came just before New Year when they beat Maritzburg United 2-1 on the road. They subsequently visited Royal Am and drew 0-0. TS Galaxy have only won 1 of 6 home games this season and looking at their goal stats only 2 of their 14 matches have reached the 3 goal mark and all 6 of their home games have gone under 2.5 goals.
Stellenbosch are 13th on the log and they haven’t had a win in their last 5 games. Since returning to action they have just played the one game, a 1-1 home draw with Chippa United. Stellenbosch have 1 and drawn 4 of 7 away games this season and although 6 of their 14 matches have reached the 3 goal mark, their last 4 games have all failed to do so.
Stellenbosch did the double over TS Galaxy last season winning each fixture 1-0 and I am expecting another low scoring encounter and will bet we will get 1 goal or less in the game.
Suggested bet: Under 1.5 goals at 23/20
