South Africa and the Netherlands meet in a crucial Group 2, ICC T20 World Cup Super 12 match in Adelaide on Sunday.
THE LOG
South Africa go into the final round of matches on 5 points, one behind leaders, India, who play Zimbabwe and one point ahead of Pakistan and Bangladesh who meet each other in the second match of this double header. Victory will ensure South Africa a spot in the semi-finals and they are short priced favourites to do just that.
SOUTH AFRICA
South Africa’s opening match against Zimbabwe was rained out with South Africa on the verge of a victory, but they came back strongly after that to beat Bangladesh by 104 runs. The big result for the Proteas was a 5 wicket defeat of India in their 3rd match, but they ensured there was still pressure on them going into their final game with a 33 run loss in a rain shortened game against Pakistan last time out.
Pakistan had won the toss and decided to bat scoring 185 for 9. Nortje with 4 for 41 was the pick of the bowlers although there were economical spells from Parnell and Ngidi. South Africa reached 108 for 9 in their 14 overs with Temba Bavuma making a welcome return to form with 36 off 19 balls.
NETHERLANDS
This will be the Netherlands final action of the Super 12 ICC T20 World Cup and they opened their campaign with a 9 run loss to Bangladesh. They were then well beaten, going down by 56 runs against India before losing by 6 wickets to Pakistan in a low scoring game. They got their first victory of the Tournament last time out when they played Zimbabwe.
With Zimbabwe winning the toss and deciding to bat, Netherlands managed to restrict them to 117 all out with Paul van Meekeren the pick of the bowlers with 3 for 29 off his 4 overs, but there were also excellent spells from Bas de Leede and Logan van Beek. The Netherlands then knocked up the runs with 2 overs to spare and 5 wickets in hand and Max O’Dowd was the top scorer with 52 off 47 balls.
HEAD-TO-HEAD
These sides have only met once in the T20 format and South Africa were the victors.

South Africa 1/16
Netherlands 9/1
Suggested Bet: Netherlands Total at First Dismissal under 15.5 runs at 17/20
Netherlands Achilles heel throughout this World Cup has been their batting and with South Africa’s strong bowling line up I am expecting an early wicket.
Suggested Bet: Rilee Rossouw Total Runs over 25.5 at 17/20
Rossouw is in need of a big knock as his form has just slipped of late and he should be able to get amongst the runs against a decent, but not spectacular Netherlands attack.
Suggested Bet: Overs 0-6 Netherlands Total under 33.5 runs at 18/10
I think the South African attack is going to be fired up and the Netherlands top order batsmen are going to battle to keep the score board moving early.
