England carry some decent form into this World Cup, in their last warm-up match they beat Pakistan by 6 wickets in a rain shortened game. Their last match against Australia was unfortunately rained out, but they had beaten Australia in the first two T20’s to clinch the series 2-0 and counting warm-up games they won five on the trot heading into this fixture.
Afghanistan’s last warm-up game was unfortunately rained out after they put up a competitive 154 for 6 in their 20 overs against Pakistan. Prior to that they had beaten Bangladesh by 62 runs, but they suffered successive defeats from Sri Lanka, Pakistan and India in the Asian Cup.
These sides have only met twice in T20 format with England winning both games. The matches between the sides though are few and far between having taken place in 2012 and 2016.

England 1/7
Afghanistan 5/1
Suggested Bets:
Top Batter Total Over 66.5 runs at 17/20
I think this track will be full of runs and ideally I will be hoping that England will bat first as they are the more likely team to get the player up to 67 runs. Afghanistan batsmen cannot be written off though and as long as they get a competitive total if they bat first there is still every chance that England batsmen could cut loose early and pass this total.
Over 6 – England Total 9.5 runs at 19/20
This is speculative play and really just for a bit of fun on a game where the betting is quite one-sided. This will be the final over of England’s power play and I am backing them to give it everything and to get into double figures.
