There are two DSTV Premiership matches taking place on Sunday and we take a look at each of them from a betting angle.
Heading into this weekend’s action Mamelodi Sundowns are the 7/20 favourites to defend their title with Orlando Pirates priced at 8/1 and you can get 14/1 and better the balance.

Mamelodi Sundowns v AmaZulu – Click here to bet
Mamelodi Sundowns are back to the top of the table after beating Golden Arrows 2-1 at home in midweek. They sit 2 points above Orlando Pirates and 3 points above Richards Bay who have a game in hand. Sundowns have won 3 and lost 1 of their 4 home games this season scoring 9 goals and conceding just 2.
AmaZulu made a quick start to the season, but they have dropped to 5th on the table after only taking 1 point from the last 9 they have played for. They lost 2-1 at home to Chippa United in midweek and their last away game was a goalless draw at Chiefs. On the road this season they have won 1 and drawn 2 of their 3 matches. Those games have been low scoring with AmaZulu scoring 3 and conceding 2 for an average of under 2 goals per game.
AmaZulu tend to give a good account of themselves against Sundowns and last season the home team won by 1-0 on each occasion. They have though lost their last 3 when away at Sundowns, all of them by 1 goal margins and that is the pointer I am looking at for a bet on this game.
Suggested Bet: Handicap, Sundowns -1, the draw at 95/40
Richards Bay v TS Galaxy – Click here to bet
Richards Bay have been the surprise package of the PSL having just got promoted last season. They looked to be heading down the table when they suffered back-to-back defeats, but have since bounced back with 2-1 away win over Stellenbosch and a 1-0 away win over Royal AM. They have only won 1 and drawn 1 of their 3 home matches this season and they will be looking for improvement in that area. Richards Bay home games have averaged under a goal each, they have scored 1 goal and conceded 1 across the 3 games.
TS Galaxy are currently 7th on the log and while they have only lost 2 of their 7 matches, they have only taken 2 points from the last 12 they have played for and are coming off back-to-back defeats, 2-0 away at Pirates and 1-0 at home to Cape Town City. Overall on the road this season they have played 4, won 1 and drawn 2 and there has been a total of 3 goals in the TS Galaxy away matches.
There is no recent head-to-head form between the sides, but all stats point to a low scoring encounter and rather than take the 4/10 under 2.5 goals, I will take a bigger price that we get under 1.5 goals in this game.
Suggested Bet: Under 1.5 goals at 13/10
