The English Premier League continues on Sunday the 25th of October with Liverpool hosting Brighton, Manchester United welcoming Bournemouth and Sunderland taking on Leeds United. We cover all three encounters from a betting angle below.

LIVERPOOL vs BRIGHTON
Liverpool returned to winning ways with a 2-1 victory away to Brentford last weekend, responding to their 3-0 home defeat against Manchester City. The Reds occupy 5th position with 12 points from seven fixtures, having registered nine goals while allowing eight at the other end.
Their earlier results included away victories over Bournemouth and Ipswich Town, winning 1-0 and 2-0 respectively. However, a goalless draw against Fulham means Liverpool have failed to find the net in their last two league appearances at Anfield.
Brighton arrive on the back of four consecutive victories without their defence being breached. Their latest success was a commanding 5-0 win over Crystal Palace, following a 2-0 triumph at Sunderland and an impressive 3-0 victory against Arsenal.
That run began with a 5-0 demolition of Coventry after a 1-1 draw against Leeds. Brighton sit 3rd with 16 points from seven matches, boasting an outstanding return of 23 goals for and just 5 against.
Head-to-Head:
The home side won both league meetings last season. Liverpool claimed a 2-0 victory at Anfield in December before Brighton responded with a 2-1 success in March.
Liverpool also beat Brighton 3-0 at home in the FA Cup in February.

Liverpool 2.15
Draw 3.85
Brighton 3.25

Verdict:
Liverpool’s response at Brentford was encouraging but their recent home performances leave room for concern. Drawing a blank against Fulham before losing heavily to Manchester City suggests this could be another uncomfortable afternoon at Anfield.
Brighton have combined a prolific attack with an increasingly solid defence, delivering four straight clean sheets while hitting 15 goals. Their convincing victory over Arsenal also shows they can carry that form into demanding fixtures.
Liverpool’s recent home record against these opponents deserves respect but Brighton look the more settled side at this point in the competition and I am backing the visitors to extend their winning sequence at a good price.
BET: Brighton to Win at 3.25
MANCHESTER UNITED vs BOURNEMOUTH
Manchester United have drawn each of their last three league matches 1-1, most recently sharing the points away to Leeds. Identical results against Tottenham and Fulham preceded that outing, leaving United 13th with seven points from seven games.
A 1-0 derby defeat against Manchester City and a 2-2 draw at Everton complete their last five results. With only one league victory this season and ten goals both for and against, United are still searching for the consistency needed to climb the table.
In midweek they lost 3-0 away to Como in Europe.
Bournemouth secured their first league win of the campaign by beating Sunderland 2-0 last weekend. That welcome result lifted them to 15th with six points, just one behind Sunday’s opponents.
The side had previously endured a difficult spell, losing 5-1 at Chelsea after a narrow 1-0 defeat against Liverpool. Earlier 2-2 draws with Brentford and Newcastle showed their ability to create chances, although keeping opponents out has proved more challenging.
Bournemouth took the scalp of AC Milan winning 3-0 at home in the Europa League on Thursday.
Head-to-Head:
Both league meetings last season ended level, with a remarkable 4-4 draw at Old Trafford followed by a 2-2 stalemate at Bournemouth in March.
Four of the last five Premier League encounters have finished all square. Bournemouth won the other fixture 3-0 at Old Trafford in December 2024, leaving United without a victory across that sequence.

Manchester United 2.25
Draw 3.65
Bournemouth 3.15
Verdict:
Bournemouth should take confidence from their victory over Sunderland and their recent league record against United. However, the five goals they shipped at Chelsea underline the defensive concerns that remain ahead of another away assignment.
United have struggled to turn competitive performances into victories with four of their seven league fixtures ending level. Their three successive 1-1 draws suggest another closely contested match is a realistic possibility.
Neither side has offered enough consistency to make a convincing case for an outright win. With draws also dominating their recent league meetings, I am backing another share of the points.
BET: Draw at 3.65
SUNDERLAND vs LEEDS
Sunderland remain bottom of the table with four points from seven matches after suffering a fourth consecutive league defeat. Last weekend’s 2-0 loss at Bournemouth came after another 2-0 loss at home to Brighton.
Their difficult run also includes a 5-3 defeat against Manchester City and a 2-0 loss to Arsenal, following a 1-1 draw at Brentford. Sunderland have managed 6 league goals while their opponents have struck 14 times and they have failed to get on the scoresheet in three of their last four outings.
Leeds United have proved difficult to beat, losing only once in their opening seven fixtures. They sit 7th with ten points after holding Manchester United to a 1-1 draw last weekend.
Their sole defeat came against Arsenal, where they went down 2-1 two weeks ago. Before that, Leeds drew 0-0 with Crystal Palace, swept Newcastle aside 4-1 and earned a 1-1 draw away to Brighton, producing a competitive run against varied opposition.
Head-to-Head:
Sunderland collected four points from last season’s league meetings, drawing 1-1 at home before claiming a 1-0 victory at Leeds in March.
Three of the last six competitive encounters have ended level, with Leeds claiming 2 wins and Sunderland 1. Notably Leeds did edge Sunderland 1-0 in the Premier League Summer Series in July.

Sunderland 2.90
Draw 3.25
Leeds United 2.60
Verdict:
Sunderland’s recent schedule has included several difficult opponents but their defeat at Bournemouth extended a worrying run. Their lack of goals is becoming a particular concern as they look for a result to lift them off the bottom.
Leeds have drawn more often than they would like, yet their performances suggest a stronger foundation. Holding Brighton away from home and comfortably beating Newcastle provide encouragement ahead of this trip.
The hosts’ record in last season’s meetings offers them some hope but Leeds bring the more reliable recent form. I am backing the visitors to turn another competitive performance into three points.
BET: Leeds United to Win at 2.60
