Group 3 takes centre stage in the 2026/27 UEFA Nations League on Saturday the 3rd of October with Croatia hosting England before Spain welcome Czech Republic. Croatia and England are level on three points heading into their meeting, while Spain will look to extend their perfect start against the group’s bottom side. We take a closer look at both fixtures from a betting perspective below.

Croatia began their campaign with a 2-1 victory away to Czech Republic before suffering a heavy 4-1 defeat in Spain on Tuesday.
The Croatians conceded inside two minutes against Spain, but Dion Beljo brought them level in the 28th minute. Their response was short lived, however, as Spain regained the lead three minutes later to take a 2-1 advantage into half-time. Further goals in the 63rd and 89th minutes left Croatia with a disappointing result after a competitive opening half.
England recovered from their opening 3-2 home defeat to Spain by beating Czech Republic 2-0 away on Tuesday.
After a goalless first half, Anthony Gordon broke the deadlock in the 47th minute to put England ahead shortly after the restart. Harry Kane added a second in the 69th minute, giving the visitors breathing room as they secured their first points of the campaign.
Head-to-Head
England have recorded four wins across the last six meetings between the nations with the remainders ending in a victory for Croatia and a stalemate.
Their most recent encounter produced six goals as England claimed a 4-2 victory at the 2026 World Cup in June. England also won 1-0 at the Euro 2020 and 2-1 at home in the 2018/19 Nations League, while the reverse fixture in Croatia had ended goalless.

England 1.95
Verdict
Croatia will welcome the opportunity to play at home after two away fixtures although their defensive performance against Spain leaves room for concern. England responded well to their own defeat against the Spanish, keeping a clean sheet and scoring twice in Czech Republic. Their recent record in this fixture adds to the appeal and I am backing the visitors to build on Tuesday’s victory with another three points.

Spain vs Czech Republic – click here to bet
Spain have made a strong start to their campaign, following a 3-2 victory away to England with a convincing 4-1 home win against Croatia on Tuesday.
Lamine Yamal opened the scoring in the second minute against Croatia before the visitors equalised in the 28th. Marc Pubill restored Spain’s advantage just three minutes later, ensuring the hosts went into the break with a 2-1 lead.
Yamal scored his second in the 63rd minute to extend the advantage before Nico Williams completed the scoring in the 89th.
Czech Republic remain without a point after following their opening 2-1 home defeat to Croatia up with a 2-0 loss against England earlier this week.
The Czech side reached half-time on level terms against England but conceded just two minutes after the restart. A second goal in the 69th minute left them with a difficult task and they were unable to find a way back into the contest.
Head-to-Head
Spain have won five of the last six meetings between the nations with the other encounter ending in a draw.
Their most recent meeting ended in a 2-0 home victory for Spain in the 2022/23 Nations League. That followed a 2-2 draw in Czech Republic a week earlier. Spain also recorded a 1-0 victory at the Euro in 2016 and won both Euro 2012 qualifying fixtures, beating the Czech side 2-1 at home and 2-0 on the road.
Match Odds (1X2)
Spain 1.08

Czech Republic 31.00
Verdict
Spain’s attacking form makes them clear favourites against a Czech side still looking for their first point. The visitors kept England out for the opening half on Tuesday but eventually conceded twice and Spain’s seven goals across their first two matches suggest another difficult evening awaits. I believe the hosts will make it three wins from three after a high scoring clash.
