BRENTFORD vs CHELSEA
Brentford are unbeaten after collecting six points from their opening four league matches. They began their campaign with an impressive 3-0 home victory over Tottenham before drawing 1-1 away to Leeds United.
The side were then held to another 1-1 draw by Sunderland before sharing the spoils in a 2-2 encounter with Bournemouth. This puts them in 7th position overall after scoring seven goals and conceding four.
Chelsea sit one place above Brentford with seven points from their first four fixtures. They opened with a dramatic 3-2 away victory over Fulham before overcoming Brighton 4-3 at Stamford Bridge.
They then suffered a 2-1 defeat against Arsenal and were held to a surprising 2-2 draw by Hull City. Chelsea have netted 10 goals this season, although having let 9 slip at the back they are facing defensive concerns and will need to tighten things up in this clash.
Head-to-Head:
Chelsea have won two of the previous six meetings, while Brentford have claimed one victory and the remaining three encounters have ended level.
Chelsea secured a 2-0 home win in the most recent clash after the teams played out a 2-2 draw at Brentford earlier in the 2025/26 campaign.

Brentford 2.80
Draw 3.85
Chelsea 2.40
Verdict:
Brentford have made a steady start and remain difficult to beat, recording three consecutive draws since their convincing opening victory over Tottenham.
Chelsea carry the greater attacking threat but have struggled to keep opponents out, conceding at least twice in each of their four league fixtures. That weakness could again be exposed by a Brentford side that has scored in every match.
Three of the last six meetings have finished level and the Bees have already drawn three times this season. With Chelsea also showing inconsistency, another evenly contested encounter could be on the cards. and I reckon the draw is a big runner and that goals are on the menu.
Betting angles I am considering for this game:
- The draw at 3.85
- Match result and both teams to score, the Draw and YES at 4.25
- Over 3.5 goals at 2.15
- Correct Score 2-2 at 11.00
BET: Draw at 3.85
