Hull vs Manchester United
Hull booked their place back in the English Premier League with a 1-0 victory over Middlesbrough in the Championship playoff final.
They have warmed up for the new campaign with a number of friendlies but are without a win in their last three matches. Their most recent outing ended in a goalless draw against Nice.
Manchester United finished third in the English Premier League last season, taking 13 points from the final 15 available. Their away form was solid throughout the campaign, with United losing only four times on the road.
They went down 4-2 to AC Milan in a friendly last weekend, but prior to that had won three, drawn one and lost one of their warm-up matches, including a 1-1 draw with PSG.
Head-to-Head
These sides have not met since the 2016/17 season. They drew 0-0 at Old Trafford that campaign, while Manchester United claimed a 1-0 victory in the corresponding fixture at Hull.

Hull 8.50
Draw 5.25
Manchester United 1.38
Verdict
Manchester United should be too strong, but newly promoted teams often give a good account of themselves early in the season. Hull should play with plenty of energy in front of their home supporters and may be capable of getting on the scoresheet.
BET: Both Teams to Score – Yes at 1.98
Everton vs Crystal Palace
Everton finished 13th in the league last season and ended their campaign in disappointing fashion, taking only two points from their final five matches.
They have experienced a mixed bag of results during the build-up to the new season and drew 1-1 with Lille in their latest outing. Both teams have found the net in each of Everton’s last four friendlies.
Crystal Palace finished 15th last season and, like Everton, collected only two points from their final five league matches.
They come into this fixture following a 3-0 friendly defeat to Freiburg. Prior to that setback, Palace had won three matches in a row, including a 2-1 victory over Fulham.
Head-to-Head
The sides met twice in the league last season, with the match at Crystal Palace ending in a 2-2 draw before Everton recorded a 2-1 home victory.
Both teams have found the net in the last five league meetings between these sides.

Everton 2.25
Draw 3.50
Crystal Palace 3.40
Verdict
This looks to be a very evenly matched contest. Over 2.5 goals at 1.91 was tempting given their recent head-to-head record, but there appears to be little separating the sides, and I am going to back them to share the points.
BET: Draw at 3.50

Brentford vs Tottenham
Brentford finished ninth in the league last season despite winning only one of their final five matches.
They have had a relatively low-key build-up to the new campaign, playing just two warm-up friendlies. Both matches ended in convincing Brentford victories.
Tottenham finished 17th last season, narrowly avoiding relegation. They ended the campaign with three wins, one draw and one defeat from their final five matches.
Spurs have been far more active in their pre-season preparations, playing seven friendlies and recording five wins and two draws. Their latest outing ended in a 2-2 draw with Hoffenheim.
Head-to-Head
This fixture ended goalless last season, while Tottenham won the reverse encounter 2-0 at home.
Spurs are unbeaten in their last six league matches against Brentford.

Brentford 2.50
Draw 3.65
Tottenham 2.80
Verdict
This is another difficult game to call, and the draw is certainly a big runner. Tottenham enjoyed a strong build-up to the season, however, and their recent record against Brentford is encouraging. I am backing Spurs to get their campaign off to a winning start.
BET: Tottenham to Win at 2.80
