Polokwane City host Stellenbosch FC in a clash between two well organised sides, while TS Galaxy welcome Mamelodi Sundowns in a fixture that has produced several surprising results in recent seasons. Polokwane City began the new season in impressive fashion with a 2-1 away victory over Richards Bay to collect all three points in their opening fixture.

The visitors remain a well-structured side capable of competing with anyone in the league on their day. Although they lacked cutting edge in their first match, Stellenbosch generally stay compact and disciplined which should keep this contest competitive.

TS Galaxy started their season with a 2-2 draw away to Siwelele after producing a spirited attacking display but being unable to hold onto all three points.
Galaxy have often been a difficult team to face at home, and they have shown in recent seasons that they are capable of troubling the league’s stronger sides. Their attacking intent in the opening round was encouraging, although defensive lapses remain a concern when matched against title favourites Sundowns.
Mamelodi Sundowns begin their campaign after finishing 2nd in the Premiership last season with 68 points from 30 matches. They produced 20 wins, 8 draws and only 2 defeats while scoring 57 goals and conceding just 21 throughout the campaign.
They played this weekend in the MTN 8 Cup where they met with Polokwane City and narrowly won the fixture 3-2 after extra time to advance to the Semifinals.

This fixture has produced some surprising results in recent seasons. TS Galaxy have won 3 of the last 6 meetings, Sundowns have won 2 and the remaining match ended in a draw.
