Group C concludes as Thursday begins in South Africa, with both matches kicking off at midnight on Wednesday. Scotland take on Brazil, while Morocco face Haiti and we look at both fixtures from a betting angle.
Group C Update
Brazil and Morocco occupy first and second place in the group respectively, with both teams sitting on four points after their opening two matches.
Brazil currently lead the way thanks to a superior goal difference of +3 compared to Morocco’s +1.
Scotland are on three points and are well positioned to progress as one of the top eight third-placed teams should they fail to finish in the top two.
While Scotland will undoubtedly be targeting victory, they would probably be more than satisfied with a point against Brazil, a result that would leave them in a strong position to qualify for the Round of 32.
Brazil, meanwhile, will be looking for all three points as they seek to secure top spot in the group.
Morocco remain firmly in the hunt to finish first and could still top the standings should Brazil slip up against Scotland or if Morocco record a convincing victory over Haiti.
Haiti, however, have already been eliminated from the tournament and will be playing only for pride in their final group-stage fixture.
Morocco vs Haiti
Morocco have enjoyed a solid tournament so far and remain unbeaten after their opening two matches. They began with an impressive 1-1 draw against Brazil where they matched one of the tournament favourites throughout the contest before securing a valuable point.
The North Africans followed that result with a hard fought 1-0 victory over Scotland. Ismael Saibari scored the only goal of the game in the opening few minutes and Morocco defended well thereafter to move onto four points and place themselves in a strong position heading into the final group fixture.
Haiti have endured a difficult World Cup campaign and are already eliminated after suffering defeats in both of their matches. Their opening encounter ended in a narrow 1-0 loss to Scotland where they struggled to create clear scoring opportunities despite remaining competitive for long periods.
Their second outing proved even tougher as they were comfortably beaten 3-0 by Brazil, leaving Haiti without a goal and without a point through two rounds.

Verdict
Morocco know that a victory could potentially be enough to secure top spot in the group and they should approach this fixture with confidence after taking four points from matches against Brazil and Scotland. Haiti have failed to score in the tournament and have looked vulnerable whenever facing quality opposition. Morocco appear capable of controlling proceedings and collecting a comfortable victory and I believe they do so without conceding.

Scotland vs Brazil
Scotland have produced a respectable showing at the tournament and remain firmly in contention for qualification. They opened their campaign with a disciplined 1-0 victory over Haiti before suffering a narrow 1-0 defeat against Morocco in a closely contested encounter.
Despite losing their second match, Scotland remain well placed on three points and know that even a draw against Brazil could prove enough to secure a place in the knockout rounds as one of the stronger third-placed teams.
Brazil started their World Cup journey with a frustrating 1-1 draw against Morocco despite entering the fixture as favourites. The South Americans created chances but were unable to fully impose themselves and had to settle for a stalemate in the end.
They responded strongly in Round 2 by defeating Haiti 3-0. Matheus Cunha netted twice in the opening half before Vinicius Junior added another just before the interval to secure a comfortable victory and move Brazil to the summit of Group C.
Head-to-Head
Brazil are unbeaten in the previous five meetings between the nations, recording four victories and one draw. Their most recent encounter ended in a 2-0 win for Brazil during an International Friendly in 2011.

Verdict
Scotland have been competitive throughout the group stage and are unlikely to make life easy for Brazil. However, the South Americans possess significantly greater attacking quality and should be fired up to secure first place in the group. Scotland may be forced to take risks if they fall behind which could create opportunities for Brazil on the counterattack and I believe goals are on the cards here.
