Crystal Palace and Rayo Vallecano meet at the Red Bull Arena in Leipzig, Germany, in the UEFA Conference League final on Wednesday night and we look at the match from a betting angle.
Crystal Palace
Crystal Palace will play in their first major European final and they have looked full value in booking their spot in the showpiece.
In the semi-final they beat Shakhtar Donetsk 5-2 on aggregate, having earlier seen off Fiorentina 4-2 on aggregate in the quarter-finals. Much of the damage was done at home where they won 3-0 before losing 2-1 on the road.
Their round of 16 clash was against AEK Larnaca where they progressed 2-1 on aggregate, doing the decisive work away from home.
Palace have now gone four league matches without a victory and their last outing ended in a 2-1 home defeat to Arsenal on the final day of the Premier League season. It is probably fair to say they have had one eye on this competition for some time.
Defensively there are concerns though, with Palace conceding at least two goals in each of their last four league matches.
Rayo Vallecano
Rayo Vallecano beat Strasbourg 2-0 on aggregate with disciplined 1-0 victories both home and away in their semi-final.
Their quarter-final against AEK Athens was far more dramatic. Rayo appeared to have done the hard work with a 3-0 home victory in the first leg but were beaten 3-1 away before eventually progressing 4-3 on aggregate.
In the round of 16 they faced Tottenham Hotspur and produced an impressive 3-1 away victory before losing 1-0 at home to still advance 3-2 on aggregate.
Rayo Vallecano are in excellent form with an 11-match unbeaten run, and they warmed up for this final with a 2-1 league win over Alaves.

Verdict
I’m a little surprised to see Crystal Palace priced as such firm favourites here given the form Rayo Vallecano are bringing into the final and the overall quality of La Liga.
Rayo look the value side against a Palace defence that has appeared vulnerable in recent weeks.
