The Investec Champions Cup quarter-finals take place this weekend with four blockbuster ties across Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The standout fixture sees Bordeaux host Toulouse in an all-French derby on Sunday. We preview each match and make a few suggested bets.
FRIDAY
Bath v Northampton Saints — Click here to bet
Bath have won four of their last five, hammering Saracens 62-15 at home, winning 31-26 away at Sale, and beating Saracens 31-22 at home in the Round of 16 last weekend. Their only loss was 21-46 away at Leicester in March.
Northampton have also won four of their last five, including a thrilling 49-41 home win over Castres in the last round and 21-17 away at Saracens. Their only loss was 14-31 away at Exeter.
Head-to-Head
These two have shared the spoils in recent meetings. Bath won 43-12 at home in May 2024 and 38-16 at home in September 2024. However, Northampton won 25-21 at home in June 2024 and 35-34 at home in January 2025, and also won 41-21 away at Bath in December 2025. That recent away win at The Rec is a strong statement.
Betting and Verdict
Bath are 1.25 to win, Northampton are 4.75. The draw is at 29.00. The handicap is Bath −9.5 at 1.93.
Bath’s home form has been outstanding, but Northampton proved they can win at The Rec in December. The 9.5-point line is a lot to cover against a Saints side in good form.
Suggested Bet: Handicap, Northampton Saints [+9.5] at 1.91.
SATURDAY
Glasgow Warriors v RC Toulonnais — Click here to bet
Glasgow are in superb home form, winning four of their last five. They beat Leinster 38-17, Benetton 31-10, and the Bulls 25-21 in the last round, all at Scotstoun, with their only loss a 10-15 defeat at Connacht.
Toulon scraped through with a 28-27 home win over the Stormers, but their domestic form is terrible, they lost at Clermont, Stade Francais, and Perpignan, and drew at Lyon. That is one win in five across all competitions.
Head-to-Head
Toulon have the edge historically, winning three of the last five meetings. They won 43-19 at home in 2023, 15-8 at home in 2014, and 30-29 at home in December 2024. However, Glasgow’s only win was emphatic a 29-5 at home in January 2024. Scotstoun is a fortress right now.
Betting and Verdict
Glasgow are 1.21 to win, Toulon are 5.25. The draw is at 29.00. The handicap is Glasgow −10.5 at 1.87.
Glasgow have won four in a row at home and hammered Toulon 29-5 there in 2024. With Toulon’s dreadful away form, covering 10.5 looks realistic.
Suggested Bet: Handicap, Glasgow Warriors [−10.5] at 1.87.

Leinster v Sale Sharks — Click here to bet
Leinster lost 7-8 at Cardiff in February, and 17-38 at Glasgow in March but have responded well, beating the Scarlets 36-19 at home and then hammering Edinburgh 49-31 at home in the last round.
Sale won 26-17 away at Harlequins in the Round of 16 but have lost three of their last five, including 14-26 at Exeter and 26-31 at Bath.
Head-to-Head
The only recent meeting between these sides saw Leinster win 37-27 at home in December 2023. Leinster at the Aviva Stadium in knockout rugby is a daunting prospect for any visiting side.
Betting and Verdict
Leinster are 1.02 to win, Sale are 18.00. The draw is at 61.00. The handicap is Leinster −23.5 at 1.91.
The 23.5-point line is steep, but Leinster scored 49 at home last weekend and Sale’s away record is poor, winning just two of their last five on the road.
Suggested Bet: Handicap, Leinster [−23.5] at 1.91.
SUNDAY
Bordeaux Bègles v Stade Toulousain — Click here to bet
Bordeaux have won four of their last five, hammering Leicester 64-14 at home in the last round and beating Toulouse 44-20 at home in the Top 14 just three weeks ago. Their only loss was 17-39 away at Section Paloise.
Toulouse have also won four of their last five, thumping Bristol 59-26 at home in the last round and Montauban 68-13 at home. Their only loss was that 20-44 defeat at Bordeaux.
Head-to-Head
Bordeaux have won three of the last five meetings, all at home, 44-20 in March 2026, 35-18 in May 2025, and 32-24 in March 2025. Toulouse won both meetings at their own ground, 56-13 in October 2025 and 39-33 in June 2025. Home advantage has been the deciding factor in every recent clash.
Betting and Verdict
Bordeaux are 1.83 to win, Toulouse are 2.15. The draw is at 23.00. The handicap is Bordeaux −1.5 at 1.98.
This is the tie of the round. Bordeaux have won all three home meetings recently and beat Toulouse 44-20 at this ground just weeks ago. At 1.83, Bordeaux to win at home looks the best value bet of the weekend.
Suggested Bet: Bordeaux Bègles to win at 1.83.
