We look at three of the International Friendly matches taking place across Saturday the 28th of March and Sunday the 29th of March and suggest a bet in each game.
SATURDAY:
SCOTLAND vs JAPAN
Scotland have produced some encouraging performances in recent international friendlies. They recorded a 4-2 home victory over Denmark in their latest outing after suffering a narrow 3-2 away defeat to Greece. Prior to that they secured a 2-1 home win over Belarus and recorded a 3-1 victory against Greece.
Earlier in the campaign they also picked up a 2-0 away victory over Belarus and played out a goalless draw away to Denmark. Scotland have been fairly consistent in recent friendlies and have shown solid attacking output in several of those matches.
Japan come into this fixture on the back of a strong run of results. They recorded a 3-0 home victory over Bolivia in their latest match after beating Ghana 2-0 and securing an impressive 3-2 victory over Brazil during their last 3 trips to the pitch.
Before that they played out a 2-2 draw against Paraguay and settled for a goalless draw away to Mexico. Japan have looked well structured defensively while also carrying a consistent threat going forward.
Head-to-Head
Their most recent meeting came in 2009 where Japan secured a 2-0 victory over Scotland, while the sides also played out a 0-0 draw in 2006.

Scotland 3.25
Draw 3.40
Japan 2.25
Verdict
Japan come into this match in strong overall form and have been consistent across recent fixtures. Scotland are competitive at home but Japan’s quality in attack could prove decisive over the 90 minutes, and I think they will get the job done.
BET: Japan to Win at 2.25
USA vs BELGIUM
USA have pulled off some impressive scorelines in their latest trips to the pitch. They recorded a dominant 5-1 home victory over Uruguay in their latest outing after beating Paraguay 2-1 and securing a 2-1 victory over Australia.
Before that they played out a 1-1 stalemate against Ecuador and recorded a solid 2-0 victory over Japan. USA have been scoring regularly and have looked dangerous in attacking areas during recent matches.
Belgium have also been performing well across their recent internationals. They recorded a dominant 7-0 victory over Liechtenstein in their latest action after playing out a 1-1 draw away to Kazakhstan.
Prior to that they secured a 4-2 away victory over Wales and recorded a goalless draw against North Macedonia. Belgium have been solid defensively while continuing to score goals consistently.
Head-to-Head
These sides have met several times historically, including the 2014 World Cup where Belgium picked up a 2-1 victory after extra time, while Belgium also recorded a 4-2 friendly victory in 2013.

SUNDAY:
MEXICO vs PORTUGAL
Mexico have been in good form across their recent international friendlies. They recorded a convincing 4-0 home victory over Iceland in their latest test after securing back-to-back 1-0 away victories over Bolivia and Panama.
Before that they suffered a narrow 2-1 home defeat to Paraguay and played out a goalless draw against Uruguay. They have been solid defensively in recent matches and have managed to grind out several positive results.
Portugal have produced mixed results in their recent international encounters. They recorded a dominant 9-1 home victory over Armenia late last year in their most recent outing but had previously suffered a 2-0 away defeat to Ireland.
Prior to that they played out a 2-2 draw against Hungary and recorded a narrow 1-0 home victory over Ireland, while earlier they secured a 3-2 away victory over Hungary and a 5-0 win over Armenia. Portugal have shown strong attacking ability but have not always been consistent at the back with a few shots breaching their defensive line.
Head-to-Head
Portugal have dominated recent meetings between the sides and remain unbeaten against Mexico in their previous encounters, winning three of the last four matches while one ended in a draw. The most recent meeting between the sides came in the FIFA Confederations Cup 2017 where Portugal claimed a 2-1 triumph.

Mexico 3.50
Draw 3.40
Portugal 2.10
Verdict
Portugal come into this match as the stronger side overall and have more quality in their squad, although Mexico have been difficult to beat in recent games. I think Portugal’s attacking quality should prove the difference in this match.
