BOURNEMOUTH vs MANCHESTER UNITED
Bournemouth sit 10th on the table with 41 points from 30 matches and have proven difficult to beat this season, as reflected in their tally of fourteen draws. Their campaign has been built on resilience, though a lack of cutting edge has often limited them to sharing the spoils.
Their most recent outings underline that trend, having played out four consecutive draws including a goalless stalemate away to Burnley and another 0-0 result at home to Brentford. Prior to that they drew 1-1 against Sunderland and held West Ham to a goalless draw, while their last victory came in a 2-1 away win over Everton over a month ago. Bournemouth have scored 44 goals and conceded 46, highlighting a fairly balanced but unspectacular profile.
Manchester United occupy 3rd position on the table with 54 points from 30 matches and remain in the race for a podium finish. Their recent form has been encouraging, with four wins from their last five matches showing consistency at a crucial stage of the season.
They come into this fixture off the back of a 3-1 home win over Aston Villa, which followed a narrow 2-1 defeat away to Newcastle. Prior to that they secured wins against Crystal Palace and Everton, alongside a 1-1 draw away to West Ham. United have netted 54 goals while letting 41 slip past the keeper, demonstrating a strong attacking output but defensive vulnerability.
Head-to-Head
In the reverse league meeting earlier this season, Manchester United and Bournemouth played out a thrilling 4-4 draw. Last season’s corresponding fixture at Bournemouth ended 1-1, while Bournemouth recorded an impressive 3-0 away win at Old Trafford in the earlier clash.

Bournemouth 3.15

Manchester United 2.20
Verdict
Bournemouth’s ability to frustrate opponents is clear but their tendency to draw matches and lack of clinical finishing remains a concern. Manchester United arrive in stronger form and with greater attacking threat, which should give them the edge in what could still be a competitive encounter.
I am expecting a closely contested match, but Manchester United’s superior quality and momentum should see them find a way through.
Some betting angles I like here include:
- Manchester United to Win at 2.20
- 3 Way Handicap, Bournemouth +1 the draw at 4.50 (United to win by 1 goal)
- Half Time/Full Time, Draw/Manchester United at 6.00
- Correct Score Bournemouth 1 Manchester United 2 at 10.00
BET: Manchester United to Win at 2.20
