Round 4 of the 2026 Super Rugby Pacific season gets underway with five matches across Friday and Saturday. We take a look at each fixture from a betting angle and offer up a suggested bet in each.
FRIDAY
Chiefs v Moana Pasifika – Click here to bet
The Chiefs suffered a surprise home defeat last week, going down 33–43 to the Crusaders. Prior to that they had been in solid form, winning away at the Highlanders 23–26 and the Blues 15–19. They will be desperate to bounce back in front of their home crowd.
Moana Pasifika are enduring a difficult campaign, losing back-to-back matches, 52–10 to the Hurricanes and then at home to the Western Force 19–35 last weekend. The trip to Hamilton offers little comfort.
The head-to-head record is entirely one-sided. The Chiefs have won every recent meeting, including an 85–7 thrashing in 2025, a 68–12 win in 2024, and a 43–7 result when Moana Pasifika hosted them.
The Chiefs are overwhelming favourites at 1.02, with Moana Pasifika at 17.00. The draw is at 76.00.
Handicap: Chiefs [−28.5]
Despite last week’s loss, the Chiefs are the far superior side at home and have covered large handicaps against this opposition before. The H2H record is one sided and with some Chiefs stars returning to the side I expect this game to be as well.
Suggested Bet: Chiefs [−28.5] at 1.91

Waratahs v Hurricanes – Click here to bet
The Waratahs have been one of the stories of this Super Rugby season having beaten the Reds 36–12 and the Drua 36–13 and they are full of confidence heading into this home fixture at Allianz Stadium.
The Hurricanes demolished Moana Pasifika 52–10 in Wellington in Round 2, but last week suffered a shock 25–20 defeat away to the Fijian Drua in Lautoka. That result raised questions about their consistency on the road and their ability to contend for the title.
The head-to-head record strongly favours the Hurricanes, who have won four of the last five meetings by big margins, including 57–12 and 41–12 in the last two years. However, both those wins were in Wellington.
The Hurricanes are favourites at 1.80, with the Waratahs at 2.20. The draw is at 23.00.
Handicap: Waratahs [+1.5]
The Waratahs are in outstanding form at home, and the Hurricanes arrive off the back of a demoralising loss to the Drua. Home advantage and current form give the Waratahs a genuine chance here.
Suggested Bet: Waratahs to win at 2.20
SATURDAY
Highlanders v Western Force – Click here to bet
The Highlanders have had a mixed start, picking up a 25–23 home win over the Crusaders in Round 1 but losing back-to-back since, 26–23 to the Chiefs at home and 31–14 away to the Reds last week. They need a response at Forsyth Barr Stadium.
The Western Force arrive after a confidence-boosting 35–19 away win over Moana Pasifika last weekend, their first win of the season. Before that they had conceded 56 against the Brumbies and 42 against the Blues.
The head-to-head record is relatively even, with the Force winning three of the last five meetings, including a 29–20 win in Perth last year.
The Highlanders are favourites at 1.31, with the Force at 4.00. The draw is at 29.00.
Handicap: Force [+9.5]
The Highlanders need a home win but have been inconsistent this season. The Force took confidence from their win last week and a 9.5-point handicap feels generous.
Suggested Bet: Handicap, Force [+9.5] at 1.91
Blues v Crusaders – Click here to bet
The Blues have been inconsistent, losing to the Chiefs in Round 1 before away wins over the Force and Brumbies, but then going down 27–30 away to the Brumbies last week. They are yet to win at Eden Park this season.
The Crusaders arrive in excellent form after last week’s impressive 43–33 away win at the Chiefs. It was a statement result from a side that had endured a tough start to the season, and they travel to Auckland with real momentum.
The Crusaders have won four of the last five H2H meetings. The Blues’ only win in that run came in Auckland in 2024 (26–6), while the most recent clash saw the Crusaders win 21–14 in Christchurch.
The Crusaders are favourites at 1.83, with the Blues at 2.15. The draw is at 26.00.
Handicap: Blues [+1.5]
Eden Park is a tough venue to visit but the Crusaders are in form and the H2H record supports them. Their big win over the Chiefs last week gives them momentum that is hard to ignore.
Suggested Bet: Crusaders to win at 1.83
Brumbies v Reds – Click here to bet
The Brumbies are the form team of the competition, having won all three Super Rugby matches this season, a 56–24 thrashing of the Force, a 50–24 win away at the Crusaders, and last week’s 30–27 home win over the Blues. They are playing with real power and confidence at GIO Stadium.
The Reds had a solid 31–14 home win over the Highlanders last week, which made up for their 36–12 loss away to the Waratahs in Round 1. A mixed start, and they face a significant step up in quality this weekend.
The Brumbies have won three of the last five H2H meetings, including a 24–14 Super Rugby win in 2025. The Reds won the most recent meeting 36–26 in the Super Rugby Australia competition.
The Brumbies are favourites at 1.50, with the Reds at 2.90. The draw is at 26.00.
Handicap: Brumbies [−5.5]
The Brumbies are the most in-form side in Super Rugby and are at home. The Reds have shown improvement, but the Brumbies are a level above right now.
Suggested Bet: Brumbies [−5.5] at 1.91
