ENGLAND vs INDIA
England
England finished second in Group C behind the West Indies but produced a perfect run in the Super Eights where they topped Group 2 with three wins from three.
They began by defeating Sri Lanka comfortably, then edged Pakistan in a tight match thanks to a brilliant Harry Brook century before securing their semi-final spot with a four-wicket win over New Zealand.
Brook has been England’s standout performer with the bat and has accumulated 228 runs in the tournament including that crucial hundred against Pakistan.
With the ball, England have shared the wickets around with Adil Rashid currently sitting on 11 wickets, while Jofra Archer and Liam Dawson have both chipped in with 10 wickets each.
India
India came through the group stage in dominant fashion, winning all four matches in Group A before progressing through the Super Eights where they finished runners-up in Group 1 behind South Africa.
They suffered a heavy defeat to the Proteas in that stage but bounced back strongly with convincing wins over Zimbabwe and the West Indies to secure their place in the Semi-Final.
Suryakumar Yadav has been their leading run scorer with 231 runs at a strike rate of 135, while Ishan Kishan has also made valuable contributions with 224 runs in the tournament.
With the ball, Varun Chakravarthy has been superb and currently sits on 12 wickets at an average just above 15, while Jasprit Bumrah has been equally effective with 9 wickets and an outstanding economy rate of just over six runs per over.

England 2.75
India 1.44
India deserve their position as favourites at home but England have shown throughout the Super Eights that they are extremely dangerous in tight matches and this should be another entertaining contest.
Rather than forcing a play in the match winner market I will look at some of the other markets of interest.
England Top Batsman – Harry Brook at 4.00
Brook has already delivered one of the standout performances of the tournament with his century against Pakistan and continues to be England’s most reliable run scorer. If England are to upset the favourites it is very likely that captain Brook will play a major role.
India Top Batsman – Sanju Samson at 5.00
Samson has only played 3 matches but what a difference he made to India when given the opening berth against the West Indies. He played a superb match winning role and looked untroubled, pacing his innings to perfection.
Player of the Match – Varun Chakravarthy at 12.00
Chakravarthy has been exceptional throughout the World Cup and remains the favourite in the top wicket taker market. On a surface that could offer just a little assistance to spin, he could again be the decisive bowler.
