Kaizer Chiefs occupy 4th position on the table with 30 points from 16 matches. They have recorded eight wins, six draws and two defeats, scoring 16 goals while conceding just 8, reflecting their solidity at the back.
Their recent form has been solid overall despite a 2-1 home defeat to Stellenbosch in their latest outing. Prior to that, they secured a 1-0 win away at Marumo Gallants, a 1-0 home victory over Golden Arrows and played out a goalless draw against TS Galaxy.
Orlando Pirates sit 2nd on the table with 38 points from 17 matches, level on points with leaders Mamelodi Sundowns. They have claimed twelve wins, two draws and settled for three defeats, finding the back of the net 26 times while letting just 7 past their own keeper.
The Buccaneers come into this clash off a 2-1 home defeat to Mamelodi Sundowns. Before that setback they recorded impressive wins over Marumo Gallants, AmaZulu and Magesi without conceding, while also drawing 0-0 away to Sekhukhune.
Head-to-Head:
The last time they met was in the Nedbank Cup 2025 where Chiefs edged the contest 2-1, before that they clashed twice last season in the league with Pirates winning both games with 2-1 and 1-0 scorelines.
Odds: Kaizer Chiefs 3.40 | Draw 2.80 | Orlando Pirates 2.50
Verdict:
Both sides boast strong defensive numbers, and neither will want to give much away in a high-stakes derby. Chiefs have been difficult to break down, while Pirates have conceded the fewest goals among the title contenders. With pressure high and recent meetings closely contested, this points toward a tight affair, but I see Pirates clinching it.
Bet: Orlando Pirates win at 2.50
Orbit College vs Richards Bay – click here to bet
Orbit College are 15th on the table with 14 points from 18 matches. They have managed four wins, two draws and twelve losses, conceding 32 goals which is the worst defensive record in the league by far.
Recent results show a 2-0 defeat to Sekhukhune, a 2-2 draw away to Polokwane City and narrow losses to Chippa United and Mamelodi Sundowns. Defensive frailties continue to cost them, and they have not picked up a victory since November last year.
Richards Bay sit 10th overall with 19 points from 17 matches claiming four wins, seven draws and six defeats. They have scored 14 goals and let 19 slip through their defence. While not prolific, they have been competitive in most matches.
Their recent form includes a heavy 3-0 loss to Chippa United, but before that they drew 2-2 with Golden Arrows, 1-1 with Siwelele and secured a notable 2-0 home win over AmaZulu. They have shown an ability to grind out results despite being unable to stay in the winning column for lengthy periods.
Head-to-Head:
The reverse fixture earlier this season saw Orbit College claim a 2-1 away victory. That remains the only meeting between the sides.
Odds: Orbit College 3.15 | Draw 2.75 | Richards Bay 2.80
Verdict:
Orbit College have struggled defensively throughout the campaign and confidence appears low. Richards Bay have been inconsistent but look the more stable outfit overall and possess greater experience at this level. With Orbit leaking goals and Richards Bay capable of capitalising, I believe the visitors represent solid value.
Bet: Richards Bay to Win at 2.80
