New Zealand and South Africa play their 3rd Group D game of the Tournament on Saturday the 14th February in Ahmedabad. We look at the game from a betting angle and offer up a few bets ranging from 1.95 to 19.00 for consideration.
New Zealand v South Africa
New Zealand have won both of their group matches so far and top Group D on 4 points.
Their first match was a 5-wicket victory over Afghanistan and their second match was against the United Arab Emirates which they won by 10 wickets. The UAE won the toss and elected to bat first and posted a total of 173/6. New Zealand chased it down scoring 175/0 in 15.2 overs with the openers Tim Seifert, who was player of the match, and Finn Allen scoring 89 and 84 respectively.
South Africa have won both their games and are 2nd on the table also on 4 points but with New Zealand having a better run rate.
They started their campaign with a solid win over Canada and in their next game against Afghanistan they were involved in the greatest match in T20 history with both teams finishing level on 187, followed by the first Super Over being tied and South Africa then winning the second Super Over by four runs. Tristan Stubbs scored 10 and 7 not out in the first and second Super Overs respectively, including hitting a 6 off the last ball of the 1st Super Over to tie the scores. David Miller scored a quick 16 not out in the second Super Over off 4 balls including 2 sixes. Lungi Ngidi was once again player of the match.

New Zealand 2.10
South Africa 1.69
SUGGESTED BETS
Match Total Sixes over 16.5 at 1.83
Both teams have big hitters that can clear the boundaries and are in form. This is a big ground but this has not proved a deterrent to sixes to date.
Player of the Match – Lungi Ngidi at 19.00
It is a big ask to hit 3 POM awards in a row but Ngidi looks the stand out South African bowler and at the price we are not going to do any real damage to the bank account.
Match Top Batsman Ryan Rickelton at 8.50
Rickelton was brilliant in scoring 61 against Afghanistan and coming in a 3 he is almost guaranteed time at the crease. He has shown us in the SA20 that he can string strong performances together and looks a decent price to deliver this bet.
