We look at the standalone English Premier League fixture between Brentford and Arsenal taking place on Thursday the 12th of February and we offer up a few betting angles on the game before settling on a selection.
Let’s start with a look at the Outright Betting (heading into Wednesday’s fixtures) where Arsenal remains favourites at 1.18, followed by Manchester City at 4.75, with Manchester United priced at 61.00 and you can get 101.00 and better the balance.

BRENTFORD vs ARSENAL
Brentford sit 7th on the table with 39 points and continue to punch above their weight in another impressive campaign. They arrive in confident mood after back-to-back away victories, beating Newcastle 3-2 and Aston Villa 1-0, showing resilience on the road.
Their last home match ended in a disappointing 2-0 loss to Nottingham, but overall Brentford have been productive in front of goal with 39 scored this season. On the other hand, letting 34 in at the back reflects their struggles on defence.
Arsenal remain top of the log with 56 points and despite a slight decline in form they have held their lead on the log. The side have responded well to their recent wobble and come into this clash on the back of a commanding 3-0 home win over Sunderland which came after a dominant 4-0 success away against Leeds.
They have netted 49 goals and conceded just 17, the best defensive record in the division and their balance between creativity and solidity makes them difficult to oppose at present.
Head-to-Head
Earlier this campaign the Gunners recorded a comfortable 2-0 win at Emirates, while last season’s first encounter at the Gtech Community Stadium finished 1-3 in favour of Arsenal and the second game was drawn 1-1.

Verdict
Brentford are always a dangerous opponent at home and their recent away wins will give them belief but Arsenal are operating on a different level and arrive with their own momentum. The home side should create chances although Arsenal’s defensive strength and superior quality in the second-half is likely to lean things in their favour. I am expecting Brentford to struggle to find the back of the net with Arsenal taking maximum points and a hard fought win.
