CHELSEA vs LEEDS
Chelsea sit 5th on the table with 43 points and have quietly built momentum in recent weeks. The Blues arrive on the back of a convincing 3-1 away win over Wolves, which followed a hard fought 3-2 home success against West Ham. Prior to that they produced an impressive 3-1 victory at Crystal Palace.
With 45 goals scored and just 28 conceded, Chelsea have shown a good balance between attack and defence and are proving difficult to contain, particularly at Stamford Bridge.
Leeds occupy 16th spot on the log with 29 points and continue to battle for breathing space above the relegation zone. They secured an important 3-1 home win over Nottingham Forest in their latest outing, responding well after a heavy 4-0 defeat to Arsenal the week prior. Earlier they were held to a 1-1 draw at Everton, reflecting their mixed form.
Leeds have found the back of the net 34 times this season but have let 43 in at the back and defensive frailties remain a major concern when facing the league’s stronger attacking units.
Head-to-Head
Earlier this season Leeds recorded a surprise 3-1 home win over Chelsea, while the previous competitive meeting saw Chelsea edge a thrilling 3-2 FA Cup victory in 2024 on home soil. Recent encounters have produced goals, with both sides enjoying periods of dominance.

Chelsea 1.56
Draw 4.25
Leeds 5.50
Verdict
Chelsea are playing with confidence and look far more settled than their opponents. Leeds can be dangerous on the break but their defensive vulnerabilities are likely to be punished by Chelsea’s attacking depth. I am expecting the home side to control proceedings and secure a comfortable win.

WEST HAM vs MANCHESTER UNITED
West Ham remain 18th on the table with just 23 points having really battled to find any form this season. They picked up a valuable 2-0 away win over Burnley in their most recent test, which followed a narrow 3-2 defeat away to Chelsea.
They beat Sunderland 3-1 at home a couple of weeks back, showing signs of improvement in attack but after conceding 48 goals in 25 fixtures, defensive issues continue to undermine their progress.
Manchester United sit 4th overall on 44 points and arrive in excellent form. United secured a solid 2-0 home win over Tottenham in their latest fixture, adding to a 3-2 victory against Fulham and an impressive 3-2 triumph away over Arsenal.
Possessing a +10 goal difference, United have been entertaining and clinical going forward while showing increased resilience at the back.
Head-to-Head
The sides shared a 1-1 draw earlier this season at Old Trafford, while last term West Ham did the double over United winning this fixture 2-1.

West Ham 4.25
Draw 4.25
Manchester United 1.73
Verdict
West Ham will take confidence from recent results but they face a Manchester United side full of strength and attacking quality. The visitors look sharper in all departments and should be able to exploit the West Ham’s defensive weaknesses. I think United will dictate the tempo and claim all three points in an open contest.
