Sunderland are at home to Burnley in the English Premier League on Monday night and we take a look at the game from a betting angle.

Arsenal have tightened their hold at the top of the table after a 4-0 away win against Leeds on the weekend. They are now on 53 points, 6 points clear of Manchester City who were held to a 2-2 draw away to Tottenham. Aston Villa sit a point back in 3rd after a disappointing home loss to Brentford on Sunday and Manchester United continued their recent resurgence with a 3-2 home win over Fulham and they sit 4th on the table, 12 points off the leaders.
At the bottom of the log, Wolves look dead and buried on 8 points with Burnley 7 points ahead of them on 15 and West Ham, who went down 3-2 at Chelsea, are on 20 points, 6 points shy of safety.
Arsenal are into 1.16 to win the League with Manchester City priced at 5.50 and Aston Villa 46.00. The balance are 61.00 and better.
The relegation market looks pretty settled but if you fancy a team like Nottingham Forest might limp to the end of the season, you can get 7.50 that they are relegated.
Sunderland vs Burnley
Sunderland are currently 11th on the table with just 1 win in their last 5 starts. They were away to struggling West Ham last time out where they lost 3-1, but their last home game was a 2-1 win over Brighton and they are undefeated in 11 home matches this season.
Burnley are currently second from bottom with just 3 wins in 23 matches and only 1 of those victories has come on the road. They haven’t won in their last 14 games but they have drawn their last 3 against Tottenham, Liverpool and Manchester United.
Head-to-Head
Burnley won the reverse fixture 2-0 earlier in the season and both sides met in the Championship last season where there was a 0-0 draw at Burnley and Sunderland won 1-0 at home.

Sunderland 1.77
Draw 3.50
Burnley 5.00
Verdict
Sunderland are rightfully favourites for the game, but Burnley have showed some improved form of late and there have been goals in both sides recent fixtures.
A few betting angles I like are:
- The Draw at 3.50
- Both Teams to Score, Yes, at 2.10
- Total Goals Over 2.5 at 2.20
- Correct Score 2-2 at 22.00
I am going to go for both teams to find the back of the net here, a bet that would have arrived in the last 3 Burnley matches and 3 of the last 4 Sunderland games.
Bet: Both Teams to Score, Yes, at 2.10
