The Premiership action continues on Sunday the 1st of February with a mid-table clash as TS Galaxy and Sekhukhune United meet at the Mbombela Stadium in Nelspruit. With both sides pushing for a top half finish or better, we take a closer look at the encounter from a betting angle.

TS Galaxy come into this fixture sitting 7th on the standings with 24 points from 16 matches. Their campaign has been fairly balanced to date having picked up seven victories, three stalemates and six defeats, while boasting a goal difference of +6.
Their recent form has been inconsistent. They suffered a narrow 3-2 away defeat to AmaZulu last time out but had looked solid prior to that, recording a convincing 2-0 home success over Marumo Gallants and holding both Kaizer Chiefs and Polokwane City to goalless draws. At home TS Galaxy have shown they are difficult to break down, winning five of their seven fixtures.
Sekhukhune currently occupy 5th place, collecting 26 points from 16 outings. They have remained competitive throughout the season, though goals have been hard to come by of late with just one scored across their last four league matches.
Their most recent action saw them go down 2-0 to Mamelodi Sundowns which came after a 0-0 draw against Orlando Pirates and a narrow 1-0 setback to Stellenbosch. Defensively they have been organised, but a lack of cutting edge in the final third has limited their returns.
Head-to-Head:
Earlier this campaign Sekhukhune edged a 1-0 home win over TS Galaxy, while prior to that they picked up a 3-2 victory in the MTN 8 Cup 2025. In terms of last season’s meetings in the league the first fixture was won 3-1 by Galaxy on the road while the reverse leg a few months later concluded in a 1-1 stalemate.
Odds:
TS Galaxy 2.90 | Draw 2.90 | Sekhukhune 2.75
Verdict:
With TS Galaxy generally strong at home and Sekhukhune showing resilience but struggling in attack this matchup looks set to follow the pattern of previous meetings. Both sides are well organised and neither give much away. I am expecting this to be a tight 90 minutes and I think we are in for a low scoring match with the draw a big runner.
Some betting angles I like:
- The draw at 2.90
- Total goals under 1.5 at 2.25
- Correct Score 1-1 at 6.50
Bet: Draw at 2.90
