We look at three La Liga encounters taking place across Saturday and Sunday the 31st of January and 1st of February from a betting perspective below.

Let’s begin with a glance at the Outright Betting, where Barcelona continue to set the pace in the market at 1.67, with Real Madrid next best at 2.25. Atletico Madrid remain outsiders at 34.00 and you can get 67.00 bigger the balance.

SATURDAY:

LEVANTE vs ATLETICO MADRID

Levante find themselves 19th on the log and remain locked in a relegation battle despite showing flashes of resilience in recent weeks. They come into this clash off a confidence-boosting 3-2 home success over Elche, snapping a short winless run.

That result followed a tough 2-0 defeat away to Real Madrid, but Levante have generally looked more competitive at home where they have picked up points in three of their last five fixtures.

Atletico Madrid are 3rd overall and are entrenched in the Champions League positions. The side arrive in strong form after dispatching Mallorca 3-0 at home last weekend, a result that underlined their defensive discipline and growing attacking fluency.

The visitors boast the best defensive record in the league, conceding just 17 goals in 21 matches and they have claimed victories in four of their last five outings, with the remainder ending in a draw.

Head-to-Head
Atletico Madrid claimed a 3-1 home win earlier this season. Prior to that they met in the 2022/23 Coppa Del Rey where Madrid picked up a 2-0 win on the road.

Betting – Click here to bet
Levante 5.25
Draw 4.25
Atletico Madrid 1.63

Verdict
Levante may show some fight on home soil, but Atletico’s structure, control and overall quality should see them dictate the tempo and collect maximum points. I am expecting Madrid to win without reply from Levante.
BET: Atletico Madrid to Win to Nil at 2.90

SUNDAY:

REAL MADRID vs RAYO VALLECANO

Real Madrid sit 2nd on the standings and continue to keep the pressure on Barcelona at the summit. They were last in action away at Villarreal, where they produced a composed 2-0 victory extending an impressive run of five straight league wins.

The team have been ruthless at the Bernabeu, winning nine of their ten home matches while scoring freely and remaining difficult to breach defensively which puts them on a home goal difference of +17.

Rayo Vallecano are 16th and hovering just above the danger zone. Their recent form has dipped, with back-to-back defeats against Osasuna where they lost 3-1 and Celta Vigo where they settled for a 3-0 defeat, exposing defensive frailties.

Although they have shown the ability to compete, particularly against teams around them on the table their away record remains a concern, having conceded 8 goals in their last three road trips.

Head-to-Head
The reverse fixture earlier this season ended goalless on Vallecano turf, while four of the last five meetings between the sides have finished level. The last time they played in Madrid, the home side edged a narrow 2-1 encounter.

Betting – Click here to bet
Real Madrid 1.26
Draw 6.00
Rayo Vallecano 10.00

Verdict
Rayo are capable of frustrating their opponents but Real Madrid’s attacking depth and home dominance should eventually tell in what could be a controlled performance.
BET: Real Madrid to Win and Under 3.5 Goals at 2.40

BETIS vs VALENCIA

Real Betis occupy 6th place and remain in the hunt for European qualification. They were last seen going down 2-1 away to Alaves, a result that halted some positive momentum after a 2-0 home win over Villarreal.

At home, Betis have been reliable losing just three times all season and they have been solid on attack and defence, scoring 20 goals while letting in only 9 at the back.

Valencia sit 14th and have been able to stay in the winning column after an inconsistent season. They arrive in decent spirits after edging Espanyol 3-2 at home, backing up a narrow away victory over Getafe the week prior where they scored the only goal of the fixture.

Despite recent improvements, defensive issues persist with Valencia conceding 33 goals in 21 matches, one of the weaker records in the division.

Head-to-Head
The reverse fixture ended in a 1-1 stalemate in November and this matchup has historically been evenly balanced, with the last four league meetings producing goals at both ends.

Betting – Click here to bet
Betis 1.83
Draw 3.65
Valencia 4.25

Verdict
Betis should enjoy more of the ball and create the clearer chances but Valencia’s recent attacking output suggests they can contribute on the scoreboard. I am expecting both sides to find the back of the net here.
BET: Both Teams to Score – Yes at 1.78
