Manchester City are currently 2nd on the table and remain firmly in the title race despite a recent decline in form. City were beaten 2-0 away at Manchester United last time out, which followed three consecutive league draws against Brighton, Chelsea and Sunderland.
While they boast the league’s most potent attack with 45 goals scored, their recent results suggest a lack of cutting edge in front of goal.
Wolves sit bottom of the log in 20th and are in serious relegation trouble. They have managed just one win all season and were held to a 0-0 home draw by Newcastle in their latest outing which came after a 1-1 stalemate with Everton.
With only 15 goals scored and 41 conceded, Wolves continue to struggle at both ends of the pitch.
Head-to-Head
Earlier this season City claimed a convincing 4-0 away win away from home, while they have won four of the last five league meetings between the sides with the most recent Wolves victory coming in 2023.

BOURNEMOUTH vs LIVERPOOL
Bournemouth are 15th on the log and have shown flashes of quality but remain inconsistent. They were held to a 1-1 away draw at Brighton last time out after beating Tottenham 3-2 at home in their previous fixture.
Defensive frailties remain an issue, with 41 goals conceded this season although their return of 35 goals scored reflects their attacking strength.
Liverpool sit 4th and have been solid throughout their campaign. The Reds have drawn their last four league matches, including a 1-1 home draw against Burnley in their most recent fixture.
Goals have been spread throughout the squad, although recent fixtures have proved they lack the ability to turn opportunities into game-winning goals having scored just 3 in their last four trips to the pitch.

Liverpool’s superior quality should see them edge this encounter, although Bournemouth are capable of keeping things competitive. I am expecting Liverpool to find their usual form and win comfortably in what should be an entertaining and potentially high scoring game.

BURNLEY vs TOTTENHAM
Burnley are 19th on the table and remain firmly in the relegation zone. They were held to a 1-1 away draw at Liverpool in their latest game, which followed a 2-2 home draw against Manchester United.
Despite showing some resilience lately, their overall record of just 3 wins from 22 matches and 42 goals conceded underlines their struggles.
Tottenham are 14th on the log and have endured an inconsistent 2025/26 run. Spurs were beaten 2-1 at home by West Ham in their most recent match after losing 3-2 away at Bournemouth just over a week before.
While they have scored 31 goals this season, defensive lapses continue to cost them crucial points and they have let 29 goals past the keeper.
