Their second fixture, however, was washed out after just four overs against the same opposition at Kingsmead on Sunday and they will be itching to perform in front of their home fans.
The Joburg Super Kings made a solid start to their SA20 campaign with a 22-run victory over the Pretoria Capitals at Centurion. Defending 168, JSK were disciplined with the ball, with Duan Jansen producing a match-winning spell of 4/23 to earn Player of the Match honours. The batting effort was built around Rilee Rossouw’s 48, with enough depth shown to suggest they can be competitive throughout the tournament.
With both teams possessing strong seam options and powerful top orders, this shapes up as a well-matched contest.
