The Europa League action continues Thursday night, and we look at two fixtures featuring EPL teams and offer a bet for consideration in each game.
ASTON VILLA vs YOUNG BOYS
Aston Villa come into this match in 6th on the log with nine points after winning three and losing one of their opening fixtures. Their home form has been solid and they are unbeaten in both clashes at Villa Park, scoring three goals without reply.
Their recent action saw them beat Maccabi Tel Aviv 2-0 earlier this month, which followed a narrow 2-1 loss to G.A. Eagles away from home.
Young Boys sit 22nd on the table with six points. Of their games played they have won two and lost two, holding a goal difference of -4. Although they have shown attacking potential, their defensive structure has been exposed on several occasions.
They last played on the 6th of November where they went down 4-0 away to PAOK. Prior to that they edged Ludogorets 3-2 at home and before that claimed a 2-0 victory away to FCSB.
Head-to-Head
The last time these sides met was in the Champions League last season when, as firm favourites, Aston Villa travelled to Switzerland and won 3-0.

Aston Villa 1.22
Draw 7.25
Young Boys 11.00
Verdict
Aston Villa have been reliable at home, while Young Boys’ defensive inconsistency makes them vulnerable. I believe Villa will control proceedings in what should be a comfortable display and I am backing them to win with a clean sheet.

NOTTINGHAM FOREST vs MALMO FF
Nottingham Forest have been inconsistent in terms of form and sit 23rd overall with five points from four games of which they have won one, drawn two and lost the other.
They drew 0-0 away to Sturm Graz last time out and their best performance came in a 2-0 victory over FC Porto roughly a month ago on home soil. Their defeat arrived in a narrow 3-2 home loss to Midtjylland but they have improved their performances since then.
Malmo FF occupy 33rd spot on the leaderboard with one point from their four games due to drawing one and losing three. They have lacked attacking rhythm scoring just twice and their defensive structure has been poor resulting in seven shots getting past the keeper.
They battled against Panathinaikos earlier this month suffering a 1-0 defeat at home, prior to that they settled for a 1-1 draw against Dinamo Zagreb in October.
Head-to-Head
These two sides last met in official competition during the 1995 UEFA Cup where Nottingham edged the second leg 1-0 after losing 2-1 in Sweden.

Verdict
Both of these sides are more focused on their respective league campaigns but at home Nottingham Forest should win, and I am backing them to win a scrappy encounter.
