The ODI series between Pakistan and South Africa heads into a decider at the Iqbal Stadium in Faisalabad on Saturday the 8th of November. After Pakistan clinched the opening game, South Africa bounced back in the second ODI to level the series. We take a closer look at the third and final clash from a betting perspective below, giving our suggested picks.
2nd ODI – Pakistan vs South Africa Summary
South Africa roared back into the series with a clinical all-round performance in Faisalabad, chasing down Pakistan’s total of 269/9 in just 40.1 overs to level the series 1-1.
Pakistan, after opting to bat first, once again saw mixed fortunes with the top order struggling early. Fakhar Zaman, Babar Azam, and Mohammad Rizwan all fell cheaply, leaving the hosts in serious early trouble sitting at 22/3. Saim Ayub scored 53 from 66 balls and Salman Agha topped the batting lineup with 69 from 106 deliveries to steady the innings. Mohammad Nawaz was the man to pick up crucial late runs, scoring 59 from 59 and lifting Pakistan past the 260 mark.
South Africa’s bowlers executed their plans superbly. Nandre Burger led the charge with a brilliant spell of 4 for 46, supported by Nqabayomzi Peter who ended on figures of 3 wickets for 55 runs and their ability to strike in key moments prevented Pakistan from building sustained momentum.
In reply, South Africa made the chase look effortless losing only two wickets along the way. Quinton de Kock rolled back the years with a dominant century of 123 not out off 119 balls, consisting of 8 fours and 7 sixes and his efforts guided the Proteas home with nearly 10 overs to spare. Tony de Zorzi chipped in with 76 runs from 63 deliveries and provided excellent support in a 153-run stand that broke Pakistan’s spirit early. De Kock’s commanding performance earned him the Player of the Match award as South Africa squared the series in style.
With the series locked at 1-1, all eyes turn to Iqbal for what promises to be an exciting finale between the two evenly matched sides.

Pakistan 1.59
South Africa 2.40
Suggested Bets:
Top Pakistan Batter – Salman Agha at 6.75
Salman Agha has been Pakistan’s most consistent performer across both ODIs, playing mature anchoring roles under pressure. I believe his technique and temperament make him a reliable pick to lead Pakistan’s batting once again.
Top South Africa Batter – Quinton de Kock at 4.25
Fresh off a match-winning century, De Kock looks in solid form at the top of the order. With the Iqbal surface favouring his style of play, he’s a strong candidate to surpass the runs line once more, making him my pick.
South Africa win at 2.40
These sides look fairly evenly matched and after their comprehensive win in the 2nd ODI I believe the Proteas offer decent value at this price.
