Mamelodi Sundowns vs Orlando Pirates – click here to bet
Mamelodi Sundowns enter this top-of-the-table showdown sitting 1st with 21 points from 10 matches, having scored 17 goals and conceded just 5. However, their recent form has been slightly inconsistent by their usual high standards and following a 3-1 home win over Durban City, they suffered a 1-0 defeat to Golden Arrows.
Despite this, they remain formidable at Loftus, where they’ve won all four of their league fixtures this season, the latest being a 4-1 domination of Richards Bay in September.
Orlando Pirates come into the clash in excellent form, currently 3rd with 18 points from 8 matches and riding a six-match winning streak in the league. Recent results include a 1-0 win over Polokwane City, a 2-0 victory against TS Galaxy, and a composed 1-0 away win at Siwelele.
The side has been defensively solid, conceding only three goals all season and will fancy their chances of frustrating the champions again.
Head-to-Head:
The rivalry between these giants has been evenly contested of late. Pirates beat Sundowns 2-1 in their last MTN 8 Cup clash in August, while the previous league meetings last season were split with Sundowns claiming a 4-1 home victory, and Pirates winning 2-1 at Orlando.
Odds: Mamelodi Sundowns 2.10 | Draw 3.00 | Orlando Pirates 4.00
Verdict: Both sides have shown defensive discipline and quality going forward, but home advantage could be the difference here. I am expecting a tight tactical battle with Sundowns edging it narrowly.
Bet: Result – Mamelodi Sundowns to win at 2.10

Chippa United vs AmaZulu – click here to bet
Chippa United remain bottom of the table in 16th place with 6 points from 10 matches and have struggled to find any sort of momentum. They’ve picked up just one win this campaign, while settling for 6 defeats and drawing the remaining 3.
Despite some improvements at home, their defensive lapses continue to cost them, having conceded 16 goals. Their latest test saw them lose to Marumo Gallants in a game that ended 2-1 on the road.
AmaZulu sit comfortably in 7th place with 15 points from 9 games. They’ve been relatively consistent, losing only twice all season. A 1-0 home win over Durban City last time out followed a 1-1 draw at Kaizer Chiefs and a rare setback against TS Galaxy where they lost 3-1 just over a month ago.
The team have looked more balanced this campaign, with a disciplined backline and better composure in front of goal, currently holding an even goal difference of 9 for and against.
Head-to-Head:
AmaZulu have had the upper hand in recent years, however, the latest encounter in March 2025 saw Chippa win 2-1 at home, although AmaZulu claimed a 2-0 victory in the reverse fixture last season.
Odds: Chippa United 3.15 | Draw 2.75 | AmaZulu 2.75
Verdict: AmaZulu’s confidence and superior quality should see them control this match, especially against a Chippa side low on morale. I am backing the visitors to continue their strong run with ease on Saturday.
Bet: Result and Totals – AmaZulu and Over 2.5 at 6.75
