AmaZulu return to Moses Mabhida Stadium sitting 9th on the table with 12 points from eight games, having recorded three wins, three draws, and two defeats. Their most recent outing saw them hold Kaizer Chiefs to a 1-1 draw in Soweto, a result that halted a run of mixed form, following a 3-1 defeat to TS Galaxy and a 2-1 home win over Stellenbosch.
Durban City, meanwhile, have enjoyed a strong start to life in the topflight, sitting 4th with 15 points from nine matches. They’ve been tough to beat, winning four and losing just twice with the other three games ending in draws.
Their latest 3-1 home victory over Magesi highlighted their attacking threat, led by a front line that has found the net 10 times this season. However, they’ve struggled away from home, managing only one win on the road so far.
Head-to-Head:
This fixture has been closely contested historically. Across the last 20 meetings, AmaZulu hold two wins, Durban City seven, and 11 matches have ended in draws. The most recent encounter came in July during pre-season, where Durban City edged a 3-2 victory. In the league, both sides shared spoils in their last two meetings, finishing 1-1 in February 2023 and October 2022, respectively.
Odds: AmaZulu 2.50 | Draw 3.00 | Durban City 3.15
Verdict:
AmaZulu will look to build on their improved showing against Chiefs, but Durban City’s balanced form and attacking confidence make them a dangerous opponent. Given the history of stalemates between these sides, a tense draw could be the most likely outcome in this derby.
Bet: Result – Draw at 3.00

Magesi vs TS Galaxy – click here to bet
Magesi find themselves in 15th place with just six points from nine matches and only one victory so far this season. Their recent form has been worrying, with consecutive defeats against Richards Bay by a single goal and a 3-1 loss away to Durban City when they last took to the pitch.
While their home performances have shown flashes of promise, Magesi have struggled to convert chances into results, scoring just six goals this campaign, one of the lowest tallies in the league.
TS Galaxy, on the other hand, sit comfortably in 7th with 13 points after eight matches. They have been impressive in attack, scoring 13 goals and picking up notable wins over AmaZulu, Orbit College and Chippa United.
However, a 2-0 defeat to Orlando Pirates last time out reminded them of the need for consistency, particularly away from home where they’ve managed just two wins thus far.
Head-to-Head:
Magesi hold the upper hand in this matchup on paper, winning two of the three previous meetings. They claimed a 2-1 home victory in April 2025 and a 1-0 away success in the Carling Knockout last November, while the other fixture ended goalless in January. TS Galaxy will be eager to end that winless run and assert themselves as top six contenders.
Odds: Magesi 2.90 | Draw 2.90 | TS Galaxy 2.90
Verdict:
TS Galaxy possess far greater attacking quality and should dominate possession against a struggling Magesi side. While the hosts may show fight early on, I believe the visitors’ depth and momentum should tell as the game wears on.
Bet: Result – TS Galaxy to Win at 2.90
