SLOVENIA vs SWITZERLAND
Slovenia are currently 3rd on the log with 2 draws and 1 loss in their opening 3 games. They were away to Kosovo on the weekend where they played out a 0-0 draw and prior to that they visited Switzerland and lost 3-0.
Switzerland are top of Group B with a 100% record after 3 matches. They saw off Sweden 2-0 on the road on Friday and in their 3 games they have scored 9 goals without conceding.
Head-to-Head
As mentioned above Switzerland won the reverse fixture 3-0 at home and the sides had previously met in Euro 2016 qualification where the home team won on each occasion.

Verdict
Switzerland should be too strong, but it is their defence that has really impressed me and I am going to back them to keep a clean sheet.

WALES vs BELGIUM
Wales are currently 3rd in Group J with 3 wins, a draw and a loss in their 5 matches. Their last match was in early September when they beat Kazakhstan 1-0 on the road, a game where they started 6/10 favourites. Prior to that they had travelled to Belgium where they lost 4-3.
Belgium are 2nd in the Group, 1 point behind leaders North Macedonia but with a game in hand. They are 1 point ahead of Wales who also have a game in hand over North Macedonia. Belgium have won 3 and drawn 2 of their 5 matches and last time out were held to a goalless draw by North Macedonia and prior to that they hammered Kazakhstan 6-0 at home.
Head-to-Head
Aside from their earlier meeting in qualification which Belgium won 4-3 at home, they also met in the UEFA Nations League in 2022 with Belgium winning 2-1 at home and the sides drew 1-1 in Wales.

Verdict
This is a crucial clash for both teams and while I can understand Belgium’s starting favourites they were disappointing last time out and I think the draw is a big runner here.
