BODOE/GLIMT vs TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR
Bodoe/Glimt had come through the qualification stages where they had few problems seeing off Sturm Graz 6-2 on aggregate. They were in action away to Slavia Praha in the opening match and the sides drew 2-2 with Bodoe/Glimt getting the equaliser in the 90th minute. They are undefeated in their last 5 games against all competitions and in their local Cup this weekend, they beat Odd 3-1 away.
Tottenham came through their campaign with a 1-0 home win over Villarreal, a game where they started 9/10 favourites. They are also undefeated in their last 5 matches and on the weekend hosted Wolves in the English Premier Leage where they required a 94th minute equaliser for a 1-1 draw. That result leaves them 4th in the English Premier League.
Head-to-Head
These sides met in the Europa League last season with Tottenham winning 3-1 at home and 2-0 on the road.

Bodoe/Glimt 3.13

Tottenham Hotspur 2.15
Verdict
I suspect this is going to be a tough assignment for Tottenham, but they have a good balance about them this season and I am going to look for them to get 3 valuable points on the road.

CHELSEA vs BENFICA
The hosts were away to Bayer Munich in their opening game and it proved to be as tough as the betting suggested with Bayer Munich winning 3-1. Chelsea would have been disappointed to concede both an own goal and a penalty.
Chelsea have lost 3 of their last 4 matches in all competitions and in the League they went down 3-1 at home to Brighton on the weekend, a game where they started even money favourites. They actually led the game into the 77th minute when they conceded the equaliser and then conceded two injury time goals. That result leaves them 8th on the Premier League table.
Benfica had to come through qualification to make the group stages and they saw off Nice 4-0 on aggregate and Fenerbahce 1-0 on aggregate in a very tight match-up. In their opening game they were at home to Qarabag, a game where they started huge favourites at 1/5, but they were victims of a 14/1 upset, going down 3-2 and that despite taking a 2 goal lead by the 16th minute.
Benfica were in League action this weekend, winning 2-1 at home against Gil Vicente and that result leaves them 3rd on the Liga Portugal table.
Head-to-Head
These sides met as recently as June this year in the FIFA World Cup Club Championships where Chelsea won 4-1 after extra time.

Chelsea 1.65
Draw 4.20
Benfica 5.00
Verdict
Both of these teams are struggling, but given Benfica’s League position and their opening start in this competition, it may not be long before they throw in the towel and I think Chelsea can collect the 3 points while keeping a clean sheet.
