FRIDAY
GRIQUAS vs Sharks– click here to bet
The Griquas pulled of a brilliant win at home last weekend as they beat Western Province 47-17. The have now won two of their three games so far this season with both wins coming at home. The Sharks hosted the Cheetahs last weekend and ended up losing the match 5-7 for their third loss of the season.
Head-to-Head
The Sharks have won three of the last five fixtures between the two side with the most recent result being a 40-21 win for the Sharks at home however, the Griquas have won the last two where they hosted the match.
Betting and Verdict
The Griquas are favourites to win the match and are trading at 1.06 for the win while the Sharks are trading at 9.00. The draw is currently at 36.00.
Handicap: Griquas [-19.5]
The Sharks have had a poor start to the season conceding 117 points in three matches while only scoring 10. The Griquas are inform after back-to-back wins and so I think they will put up a big score against the Sharks this weekend.
BET: Handicap, Griquas [-19.5] at 1.85.
SATURDAY
CHEETAHS v WESTERN PROVINCE – click here to bet
The Cheetahs are coming of the back of back-to-back wins after beating the Pumas in the second round and then going on to beat the Sharks 5-7 away from home last weekend. Western Province have had a very poor start to their campaign losing all of their first three matches. They faced off against the Griquas away from home last weekend where they lost the match 47-17.
Head-to-Head
The Cheetahs have all five of the last fixtures between the two sides with the most recent match ending 19-26.
Betting and Verdict
The Cheetahs are heavy favourites to win the match and are trading at 1.07 while Western Province are trading at 8.50. The draw is currently at 34.00.
Handicap: Cheetahs [-18.5]
The Cheetahs were a bit disappointing in Durban last week but WP look in real trouble and a comfortable home win is the call.
BET: Handicap, Cheetahs [-18.5] at 1.85
PUMAS v LIONS – click here to bet
The Pumas pulled off a brilliant win last weekend as they travelled to Loftus to beat the Bulls 7-41, a result which few saw coming. They have two of their three matches so far this season with their only loss coming against the Cheetahs in round 2. The Lions went into round three undefeated but were put to the sword as they lost 29-10 to the Boland Cavaliers away from home.
Head-to-Head
The Lions have won their last three matches against the Pumas with the Pumas winning the two before that. The last time the two sides met the Lions won the match 55-12 and the time before they won 21-75 away from home.
Betting and Verdict
The Pumas are favourites going into this weekend and are trading at 1.40 while the Lions are trading at 3.00 for the win. The draw is currently at 23.00.
Handicap: Lions [+7.5]
The Lions showing against Boland was hard to explain but I expect a bounce back this weekend and I think they are worth a bet to win the game.
