After a brutal climb up Mont Ventoux in Stage 16 the fast men will be hoping they can bring it all together for a sprint finish when the riders tackle Stage 17 a 160.4km drag from Bollène to Valence.
We preview the stage and look at the latest Jersey betting.
Stage 16 Review
I would have bet the house (and almost did) that Stage 16 would be fought out between Pogacar and Vingegaard but it was not to be as UAE let the break go clear.
We were treated to an exciting finish nonetheless with the break fighting each other all the while aware that the 2 big favourites were getting closer.
In the end Valentin Paret-Peintre won from Ben Healy with Pogacar and Vingegaard finishing 5th and 6th just over 40 seconds back.

Stage Profile
The start is fairly flat with an intermediate sprint after 47.9km. There is then a Cat 4 clim topping out at 66.3km and another one at 177km with a downhill and flat final 53km.
Stage 17 – What to Expect
This will not be an easy stage for the sprinters teams to control but it should be all hands on deck for potentially the last bunch sprint of the tour as Stage 21 is not a guarantee this year.
