BLUES vs WARATAHS – Click here to bet
The Blues have managed to salvage their season after a poor start but still have work to do this weekend to secure a place in the top 6. They’re currently 7th on the table, level on points with Moana Pasifika, having won 5 and lost 8 matches.
Their last outing came in Round 14, where they narrowly lost 27-21 to Moana Pasifika away from home (the game was played in North Harbour).
The Waratahs sit just behind them in 8th, two points adrift, with a record of 6 wins and 7 losses, along with only 2 bonus points. They’re still mathematically alive in the playoff race but like the Blues need to win this game. Last week, they edged the Western Force 22-17 on the road.
Head-to-Head:
The Blues have dominated this fixture, with the Waratahs last winning back in 2015. Their most recent clash was in March 2024, where the Blues scraped a 12-10 away win.
Betting Odds:
- Blues: 1.08
- Waratahs: 11.00
- Draw: 51.00
- Handicap: Blues [-19.5]
I expect the Blues to control this match and with some rain possible unders on Waratahs points appeals.
BET: Waratahs under 18.5 points at 1.83

HURRICANES vs MOANA PASIFIKA – Click here to bet
The Hurricanes have had a strong campaign with 7 wins, 1 draw, and 5 losses, securing 4th place heading into the final round and guaranteeing a playoff spot. They defeated the Reds 31-27 last Friday.
Moana Pasifika have impressed this season and remain in the playoff hunt. They’re currently 6th with 6 wins and 7 losses, but are coming off a heavy 85-7 defeat against the Chiefs. Given the teams just behind them play each other they need to win this game to progress.
Head-to-Head:
They’ve met 6 times, with the Hurricanes winning 4 and Moana Pasifika 2. Their latest meeting in March saw Moana Pasifika stun the Hurricanes 40-31 at home.
Betting Odds:
- Hurricanes: 1.25
- Moana Pasifika: 4.75
- Draw: 36.00
- Handicap: Hurricanes [-11.5]
I think the Hurricanes will be too strong here and will back them for a quick start and at least 18 points by half time.
BET: 1st Half points Hurricanes over 17.5 at 1.91
REDS vs FIJIAN DRUA – Click here to bet
The Reds, with 7 wins and 6 losses, are locked into 5th place and have secured playoff qualification. Last week, they fought hard but fell 31-27 to the Hurricanes in Brisbane.
Fijian Drua are out of the running but will want to finish strong. Despite pulling off some big upset wins, they’ve lacked consistency and sit 10th, with a record of 4 wins and 9 losses. They had a bye last week and thrashed the Force 38-7 in their last match which was at home.
Head-to-Head:
In 5 meetings, the Drua have won 3, including a 36-33 home victory just a few weeks ago.
Betting Odds:
- Reds: 1.12
- Fijian Drua: 7.50
- Draw: 41.00
- Handicap: Reds [-16.5]
The Reds should win but the handicap looks well set. There is some rain about in the lead up to the game and I think we could get a lower scoring match than the bookies expect.
BET: Under 56.5 points at 1.95
