India and Australia meet in the first ICC Champions Trophy semi-final at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai on Tuesday and we take a look at the game from a betting angle.

India’s Route to the Playoffs
India finished top of Group A winning all three of their matches, all of which were played at the Dubai International Stadium.
They opened up with a 6 wicket win over Bangladesh, followed that up with another 6 wicket win over Pakistan.
In their final match they played against New Zealand to see who would finish top of the table and after losing the toss and been sent into bat, India were in trouble early, 30 for 3 in the 7th over, but there were strong contributions from the middle order, in particular Shreyas Iyer who topped scored with 79 off 98 balls to see them through to 249 for 9 in their 50 overs.
The Indian bowling attack then turned in a professional performance to restrict New Zealand to 205 and win the match by 44 runs. Varun Chakaravarthy was the pick of the bowlers with 5 for 42 off his 10 overs, but all of the bowlers played their role and none of them went for more than 6 runs per over.
Australia’s Route to the Playoffs
Australia finished runners-up to South Africa in Group B with 1 victory and 2 no-results in their three games.
They won their opener against England at the Gaddafi Stadium by 5 wickets, chasing down 352 for victory, but their match against South Africa was abandoned without a ball being bowled. They then played Afghanistan, also at the Gaddafi Stadium with Afghanistan scoring 273 off their 50 overs. Ben Dwarshuis picked up top bowling honours with 3 for 47 off his 9 overs.
Australia reached 109 for 1 in 12.5 overs when rain forced an early end to the game with no-result declared as the minimum 20 overs hadn’t been bowled. Travis Head was top scorer with 59 off 40 balls.

VERDICT
India are understandably favourites for this game and also have the advantage of having played all three matches at the same stadium. Australia are a team that can beat anyone on their day, but I think that the Indian spin attack will prove too much for them and that we should see India into the final.
I am not going to bet on the match result though but there are plenty of other markets to get involved in.
Bet 1: Zampa top Australia bowler at 2.70
While the Australian batting lineup may be heading to Dubai with some trepidation for the wicket Zampa will be licking his lips. I am hoping India go after him which will create wicket taking opportunities.
