Arsenal have played just three fixtures to book their spot in the semis and their quarter final was held at home against Crystal Palace where they clinched a 3-2 win.
Prior to that they took on Preston in the round of 16 and dominated winning 3-0. Their opening match of the tournament was against Bolton who they drilled 5-1 at home.
Arsenals most recent action was in the Prem where they drew 1-1 to Brighton away from home just a couple days ago.
Newcastle – began their campaign with a 2-1 win over Nottingham on the road in the round of 64, They then went on to beat AFC Wimbledon 1-0 at home and they then overcame Chelsea by two goals to none in front of a home crowd.
They clashed with Brentford in the quarter finals and as the favourites they won comfortably with the final scoreline being 3-1.
They last took to the pitch in a league match against Tottenham on the 4th of January where they picked up a 2-1 victory on opposition turf.

They played their first match against Coventry on the road and won 2-1, they then went on to put away Man City 2-1 at home and they followed this up with a solid quarter final performance which saw them beat Man United 4-3 on home soil.
They played their last match in the Premier League on Saturday the 4th where they fell short of New Castle, losing by 1 goal in the end.
Liverpool was matched with Southampton in their quarter final where they beat them 2-1 away from home, before this they took on Brighton on the road as well and narrowly won the match 3-2.
Their opening match in the round of 32 had them matched up against West Ham who they dominated in front of their home supporters and beat 5-1.
Liverpool clashed with Man United on the 6th of January in the league to make up their most recent fixture, which was drawn 2-2 after an entertaining second half.
