The third and final ODI match between South Africa and Pakistan takes place on Sunday the 22nd of December at the Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg.
Pakistan currently lead the 3 match series 2-0 heading into the final game, meaning this game is a dead rubber. The beauty of sports betting though is even if games have no significance in the series you can still bet on them.
Pakistan won the 1st ODI in Paarl by 3 wickets chasing down 240 to win.
2nd ODI – SOUTH AFRICA vs PAKISTAN
The second ODI held in Cape Town on the 19th of December begun with the Proteas winning the toss and selecting to field first.
Initially the decision looked good, with South Africa claiming two wickets in the first 10 overs while keeping Pakistan at a low run rate. Pakistan bumped things up though putting together some valuable partnerships and they posted a sizeable total of 329 runs all out with 1 ball remaining.
Top batsman was Mohammad Rizwan who scored 80 runs off 82 balls and Kamran Ghulam put up a quick 63 off 32 balls in the back end of the game which helped Pakistan breach 300 runs.
The top bowler for South Africa was 18-year-old Kwena Maphaka who took 4 wickets for 72 runs in his 9.5 over spell.
South Africa then took to the pitch in an attempt to chase down the total and level the series 1-1.
They struggled early on, losing important wickets and they battled to build partnerships. Heinrich Klaasen was the final hope for the Proteas, however, the men around him were struggling to hold onto their wickets and in the end, Klaasen was caught on 97 off 74 deliveries resulting in the match coming to a close, with Pakistan winning by 81 runs.
On the Pakistan end it was Shaheen Shah Afridi who topped the bowling figures with 4 wickets in his 8 overs, with 47 runs scored against him.

South Africa 1.65
Pakistan 2.30
I would have to say that Pakistan are the value as they have been the better team in this series. I am not going to back against the Proteas though and will look to some of the other markets for my betting fix.
My Bet: Top Pakistan Bowler – Naseem Shah at 3.00
Naseem has bowled excellently and was not far off being top bowler in the last match. With a bit of luck he can bag the most South African wickets.
My Bet: Player to Hit the Most Sixes – Heinrich Klaasen at 3.80
Klaasen looks to be close to his best again and if so the bowlers had better watch out.
My Bet: Total Sixes over 13.5 at 1.90
The Wanderers is a traditionally high scoring ground and the sixes have been known to flow. This will be my biggest bet on the day.
