1st T20 SOUTH AFRICA vs PAKISTAN
The match played on Tuesday in Durban began with South Africa winning the toss and electing to bat first. They crumbled early on losing three wickets within the powerplay and after the third fell they sat on just 28 runs.
They then managed to gain some control over the Pakistan bowling attack, building partnerships and despite wickets falling frequently they reached a total of 183/9 when the innings ended.
Star batsman for South Africa was David Miller who scored a quick 82 runs off 40 deliveries at a strike rate of 205.00 and his 8 sixes meant we collected the 7.00 on our Miller “Most Sixes” punt.
For Pakistan it was Shaheen Shah Afridi who topped the bowling figures with 3 wickets for 22 runs in his 4 overs.
Pakistan then took to the crease in an attempt to chase a tough but attainable total, however, things did not go their way up front with the South African bowling attack applying pressure from the get-go.
Despite the early pressure, Pakistan lost just 1 wicket in the powerplay, but wickets ten started falling. A middle order collapse when seemingly on track for victory resulted in Pakistan falling just short in the end and South Africa winning by 11 runs.
Top batsman for Pakistan was opener Mohammad Rizwan who scored 74 off 62 balls with 5 fours struck.
Best bowler and man of the match was awarded to George Linde who took 4 wickets for 21 runs in his 4 over spell, he also picked up 48 runs with bat in hand earlier on in the match.

VERDICT
I believe that the betting is accurate and while I favour the home team they are a bit short for me to back them. Fortunately there are plenty of other markets to bet on.
Pakistan Top Batsman – Babar Azam at 2.65
Azam didn’t fire in the 1st T20, but he is a batsman that can put up a huge total if he manages to get comfortable at the crease and I think he will be well suited by the pitch at Centurion Park.
South African Top Bowler – George Linde at 3.85
Linde shredded through the Pakistan batting line-up last time around, while maintaining a solid economy rate and I think he is worth following. He is the type of bowler the visitors will be looking to get after and that can open up wicket taking opportunities.
