CRYSTAL PALACE v TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR – Click here to bet

Crystal Palace will host Tottenham Hotspur this Sunday at Selhurst Park in what promises to be an exciting London derby. The Eagles have struggled to replicate the intensity that drove them last season, and as a result, they find themselves in the relegation zone, sitting 18th with just 3 points. Monday’s 1-0 defeat away to Nottingham Forest marked their third consecutive league loss. At home, Palace are still searching for their first win of the season, having accumulated just 2 points from a possible 12. Their main issue has been a lack of firepower up front, with only 5 goals scored in the league so far.

Tottenham, on the other hand, come into this match in excellent form, sitting 7th in the table with 13 points, having scored an impressive 18 goals in their opening 8 matches. Their recent 4-1 victory over London rivals West Ham highlighted their attacking prowess, and they’ll be eager to carry that momentum going into this derby against Palace. While Spurs have shown some vulnerability on the road, picking up just 4 points from a possible 12 away, their overall performances under Ange Postecoglou have been solid, making them deserved favourites to secure all three points at Selhurst Park.

Head-to-Head

Last season, Spurs enjoyed a successful double in this matchup, winning 2-1 at Selhurst Park and securing a 3-1 victory in the reverse encounter at home.

Betting

Crystal Palace 3/1

Draw 3/1

Tottenham Hotspur 17/20

Verdict

At odds of 17/20, Tottenham provide good value based on their form this season. Despite the derby atmosphere, Spurs have won all five previous encounters between these two teams, further justifying why they are so heavily favoured in this matchup.

Suggested Bet: Full Time Result, Tottenham Hotspur at 17/20

CHELSEA v NEWCASTLE UNITED – Click here to bet

Chelsea will host Newcastle United at Stamford Bridge this Sunday in what promises to be an entertaining clash between two talented teams. The Blues currently sit 6th in the Premier League with 14 points and are struggling for consistency in the domestic league. Having earned just 1 point from their last two league matches, Chelsea will be eager to recapture the form they displayed earlier in the season. Last weekend, they suffered a 2-1 defeat away to Liverpool, marking their first loss on the road this season. However, at home, they are unbeaten in their last three league matches, with two wins and a draw during that stretch. Known for their attacking prowess, having scored 17 goals this season, Chelsea will look to exploit Newcastle’s defence in the hope of securing their second home win of the season.

Newcastle United, currently sitting 9th in the league with 12 points, will be looking to press the reset button after a shaky period for the Magpies. Last week’s 1-0 defeat at home against Brighton marked their first home loss of the season, a match they were favourites to win. Having secured just 2 points from their last four league appearances, there will be mounting pressure on Eddie Howe’s shoulders, as anything less than European contention will certainly be frowned upon. Away from home, the Magpies have managed to collect 5 points from a possible 12, scoring just 4 goals, which is an area they will aim to improve as the season progresses. Newcastle’s struggles to find the net consistently have hindered their performance, and will be desperate to address this against a Chelsea side known for their attacking threats.

Head-to-Head

Last season, Chelsea secured a 3-2 victory over Newcastle at Stamford Bridge, while the reverse fixture resulted in a 4-1 win for Newcastle United.

Betting

Chelsea 8/10

Draw 16/5

Newcastle United 3/1

Verdict

With both teams looking to regain much-needed form and momentum, this match could be significantly tighter than what we witnessed between these two last season. A chance is taken on this ending all square, given how both appear to be struggling at present.

Suggested Bet: Full Time Result, Draw at 16/5

WEST HAM v MANCHESTER UNITED – Click here to bet

West Ham United will face Manchester United this Sunday at London Stadium, a match renowned for its rich history of drama and excitement. Currently languishing in 15th place with just 8 points, the Hammers have faced challenges this season despite bolstering their squad with quality players. Last week’s painful 4-1 defeat to Tottenham was especially tough to swallow, coming on the heels of a strong performance against Ipswich just a week prior. As they return to London this week, West Ham will be keen to improve their lacklustre record at home, having secured just 3 points from a possible 12 while averaging 1.5 goals per game in the process.

Still striving to meet the lofty expectations set for them this season, Manchester United will arrive in London on a positive note, following a 2-1 victory at home against Brentford last weekend. With increasing pressure to deliver top performances, Erik Ten Hag is certainly feeling the weight of expectations. However, this weekend presents an opportunity for his side to capitalize on a somewhat disjointed West Ham outfit and improve their record against the Hammers in London, where they have failed to earn points in their last two visits. This season, United seems to be faring better on the road, currently on an unbeaten run of three league matches, having collected 5 points from a possible 9. Despite the talent at their disposal, goals have been a concern, with the team scoring just 7 goals in 8 league appearances so far.

Head-to-Head

Last season, both teams enjoyed success in their encounters, with West Ham claiming a 2-0 victory in their home match and Manchester United winning 3-0 in the reverse fixture.

Betting

West Ham 19/10

Draw 28/10

Manchester United 13/10

Verdict

Manchester United stand a good chance of earning a favourable result on the road, especially considering West Ham’s difficulties at home this season. The Hammers have failed to keep a clean sheet in any of their four league games at the London Stadium, with both teams finding the net in three of those matches. A similar outcome on Sunday could work in our favour.

Suggested Bet: Double Chance and Both Teams to Score, Draw/Manchester United and Yes at 21/20

ARSENAL v LIVERPOOL – Click here to bet

Arsenal will host Liverpool this Sunday at the Emirates Stadium in what promises to be an electrifying encounter between two Premier League heavyweights. The Gunners currently sit 3rd in the table with 17 points, coming off a surprising 2-0 defeat away to Bournemouth last weekend. Despite suffering their first league loss last week, Arsenal’s attacking prowess is evident in their impressive goal-scoring tally, particularly at the Emirates, where they have averaged 2.5 goals per game this season. With an unbeaten record at home featuring 3 wins and a draw, Mikel Arteta’s side will certainly test the resolve of current league leaders Liverpool. The Reds have struggled in their last two visits to the Emirates, leaving empty-handed on both occasions in the Premier League.

Table-toppers Liverpool visit the capital on Sunday, aiming to pick up where they left off last weekend after their impressive 2-1 victory at Anfield against Chelsea. Arne Slot’s no-nonsense approach has undoubtedly paid dividends for the Reds this season, as they have made a near-perfect start to their campaign. With just one defeat in the league, Liverpool enters Round 9 on Sunday with 7 wins from their other fixtures—an impressive achievement given the gruelling nature of the Premier League. Notably, they have scored 8 goals from 4 away matches this season, averaging 2 per game. However, this weekend will likely prove to be their sternest test to date, as they have faced challenges in their last two league visits at the Emirates. That said, with new leadership at the helm this season, the Reds appear to be operating on a completely different level, scoring freely and backed by an equally impressive defensive structure. This weekend could be their opportunity to finally get one over the Gunners at the Emirates.

Head-to-Head

Last season, Arsenal secured a 3-1 victory in this fixture, while both teams settled for a 1-1 draw in the reverse encounter.

Betting

Arsenal 15/10

Draw 95/40

Liverpool 15/8

Verdict

I quite like the look of a score draw here, Arsenal may have had Liverpool’s measure in recent times at the Emirates but this Liverpool team has a different feel to it. I think both managers wouldn’t necessarily be upset if this ended all square given how tightly congested it is at the top of the table.

Suggested Bet: Result and Both Teams to Score, Draw and Yes at 16/5
