SOUTH AFRICA
South Africa has 4 points from a possible 6 having drawn 2-2 with Uganda at home in their opener, a game where they started 6/10 favourites for the win. Their most recent match was just 4 days later when they played against South Sudan away from home at Juba Stadium in a match that went the way of South Africa, with a final score of 3-2. The winner came in the 95th minute.
With roughly a month’s break since their last fixture, the South African side are expected to come out firing in front of a home crowd starved of international sport.
CONGO REPUBLIC
Congo Republic have had a mixed start to their campaign as well, and their first match saw them pick up a 1-0 home win against South Sudan on the 5th of September. Their last action was just over a month ago when they went head-to-head with Uganda at the Nelson Mandela Stadium in Kampala, they were unfortunately unable to restrict their opponents and, in the end, they lost the game by 2 unanswered goals.
This will be a tough test for the Congo side, who are priced as heavy underdogs.
Head-to-Head
The last time these sides met was nearly a decade ago at the AFCON 2015, where they met in two fixtures, with South Africa winning the first encounter 2-0 away, the second match was uneventful with the final score being 0-0 in South Africa.

VERDICT
I am expecting South Africa to tighten up on defence against a Congo side that is struggling for goals. A home win with a clean sheet is my call.
Prediction: South Africa 2 Congo 0
Bet: Totals and Both Teams to Score – Under 2.5 and No at 2.25 – this also covers the 0-0 draw
If you are looking for a bigger price the 2-0 correct score is trading at 6.50 and for the more conservative punter South Africa to keep a clean sheet is priced at 1.85.
