BIRMINGHAM PHOENIX vs SOUTHERN BRAVE
Birmingham Phoenix finished 2nd on the log, level on points with the Oval Invincibles, but behind on net run rate. They won 6 and lost 2 of their 8 matches and their last action was a rain-shortened match against the Manchester Originals on Thursday night. The game was reduced to 30 balls and Birmingham Phoenix won the toss and chose to field, restricting Manchester Originals to 41 for 5. Adam Milne was the star with the ball with 2 for 8 off 10 balls. Phoenix had few problems chasing it down with 8 balls to spare and with just 1 wicket lost. Ben Duckett scored an unbeaten 22 off 12 balls.
Southern Brave finished 3rd on the log, just 1 point behind Birmingham Phoenix and level with the Northern Super Chargers, but ahead on net run rate. They won 5, lost 2 and had 1 no result. The Southern Brave’s last action was on Wednesday when they played the Welsh Fire and they looked to be in some trouble when the rain came down forcing that no result. Prior to that they played the Trent Rockets where they chased down 127 for victory with 1 ball to spare. The stars for them on the day were Chris Jordan who took 3 wickets for 22 off his 20 balls and with the bat Kieron Pollard with 45 off 23 balls.

Birmingham Phoenix 17/20
Southern Brave 19/20
There is not much between these sides, but Southern Brave were convincing winners when the teams last met and I am happy to back them here as slight underdogs.
BET: Southern Brave win at 19/20
Kieron Pollard has hit some good form and I expect the Southern Brave’s will want to get him to the crease early and will back him to be their top bat.
BET: Kieron Pollard Top Southern Brave Bat at 27/4
