LORENZO MUSETTI v NOVAK DJOKOVIC
Musetti is the 25th seed and the 22 year old Italian has won plenty of fans en route to the semi-finals. He overcame Taylor Fritz in a five setter winning the fifth set 6-1 in his quarter-final and that was his 2nd five setter of the campaign and he hasn’t won a single match in straight sets.
He faces 2nd seed, Novak Djokovic who was in a race to be fit for the Tournament after suffering a serious knee injury at the French Open. Djokovic had a walk-over in his quarter-final against de Minaur and he has dropped two sets in the Tournament to this point and his most recent match was a comfortable straight sets win over Rune, the 15th seed.
Head-to-Head
These players have met each other 6 times with Djokovic winning 5 and Musetti once. When they last met in the French Open in the Round of 32, Musetti pushed Djokovic to 5 sets.

Musetti 5/1
Djokovic 1/7
PREDICTION
Djokovic is a worthy favourite here, but Musetti has played some excellent tennis and I think he can push the Serbian, at least in the early stages of the game.

DANIIL MEDVEDEV v CARLOS ALCARAZ
Daniil Medvedev is the 5th seed and the 28 year old Russian upset top seed, Jannik Sinner in his quarter-final winning 6-3 in the 5th set. Previously he had a walk-over against Dimitrov when Dimitrov couldn’t complete the opening set and in the first 3 rounds he had two 4 setters and 1 straight sets victory.
Alcaraz dropped the opening set of his quarter-final against Paul, but came back to win the next 3 sets comfortably to book his spot in the semi-final. Alcaraz opened his campaign with a couple of straight sets victories, but he was pushed to 5 sets in his third round against Tiafoe, the 29th seed and 16th seed, Humbert took him to a 4th set.
Head-to-Head
These players have met 6 times with Alcaraz winning 4 and Medvedev 2 and Alcaraz has had the better of things of late, winning the last 2. This is a repeat of the 2023 semi-final when Alcaraz won in straight sets, 6-3, 6-3, 6-3.

Medvedev 27/10
Alcaraz 3/10
PREDICTION
I don’t feel that Alcaraz’s game is in quite the same place it was last year and I think that Medvedev can push him this time around. I am going to go for the favourite to win it, but only in the 5th set.
BET: Correct score, Alcaraz to win 3-2 at 5/1
